Out of town relatives who attended the funeral of Vernon Fuller Myers on Wednesday, September 28, in Rossville were Don White, Campbell, Calif.; Doris Townsend, South San Francisco, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Merle Myers, Mr. and Mrs. George Jackson, Mrs. Mildred Myers Fisher, Merrill Lynch, Mrs. Rose Hutchings, Mrs. Leona M. Pekarek, Mrs. Barbara Stewart, Miss Sherrill Pekarek, Mrs. Dorothy Pekarek.


VERNON MYERS
Vernon Myers, 77, Rossville, died Sunday, September 25, 1983, at a Topeka hospital.

He was born February 11, 1906, the son of Thaddeus and Rose Page Myers. He spent most of his life in the Rossville community.

Mr. Myers was a member of the golden Agers and Senior Citizens, both in Rossville.

He was married to Ella Pekarek May 5,1951, at Topeka. She survives.

Other survivors include a stepson, Merrill Lynch, Topeka; a brother, Clark Myers, Decatur, Ga.; and two sisters, Mrs. Gwen McAfee, Decatur, Ala., and Mrs. Mildred Fisher, Topeka.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Presbyterian Church in Rossville. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mr. Myers will lie in state from 9 a.m. Tuesday (today) until noon Wednesday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys and from 1 p.m. Wednesday until service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3003 Van Buren, 66611.
