Obituary- Reser, Frank 2

Frank J. Reser
Frank J. Reser, 79, formerly of 7449 N.E. Silver Road, died Satur¬day, Oct 18, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Reser was a machinist and me¬chanic for Santa Fe Railway 48 years before he re¬tired in 1971.
He was born Nov. 15, 1906, at Rossville, the son of John Charles and Anna Laura Van Vleck Reser.
He spent his early life in Rossville and lived in Topeka many years.
Mr. Reser was a member of Sec¬ond Presbyterian Church, Orient Lodge No. 51, AF&AM, and Beulah Chapter No. 34 of Order of Eastern Star,
He played baseball for the appren¬tice team at the Santa Fe shops sev¬eral years and bowled in the Cosmo¬politan League at Meadow Lanes several years.
He was married to Mary E. Rob¬erts Feb. 16, 1929, in Topeka. He and his wife operated a booth at the Topeka Flea Market at 29th and Fairlawn several years. She sur¬vives.
Survivors include three daughters, LaNona “Nonie” Stitham, Hoyt, Pat¬sy Woodward, Meriden, and Beva Newberry, St. Louis, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grand¬children.
Services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home will include Eastern Star services con¬ducted by Beulah Chapter No. 34. Orient Lodge No. 51, AF&AM, will conduct graveside services at Tope¬ka Cemetery.' Relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shaw¬nee County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, 2913 Plass Ct., 66611.
