Obituary- Ross, Shirley

Shirley A. Ross
Shirley A. Ross, 61, Topeka, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 1994, at a Topeka hospital.

Mrs. Ross was the point-of-sale coordinator for Fleming Foods 30 years before she retired earlier this year.

She was born Dec. 28, 1932, in Delia, the daughter of Henry M. and Mabel L. Banta Dibbern.

MRS. Ross was a member of Wagoneer's Camping Club.

She was married to Merle E. Ross Feb. 9, 1952, in Topeka. He survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Nancy Juedes, Boulder, Colo., Carol Barnes, Topeka, and Cindy Burnette, Aurora, Colo.; three sisters, Louise Brandenburg, Topeka, Avis Bratton, Collinsville, Okla., and Geneva Whitfield, Mishawaka, Ind.; a brother, Floyd Dibbern, Topeka; her parents, Henry and Mabel Dibbern, Topeka; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Ross will lie in state from 8 a.m. today to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home, where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1315 S.W. Arrowhead Road, Topeka, 66604, or to the First Baptist Church, 3033 S.W. MacVicar, Topeka, 66611.
