Marriage- Smith, Aouda-Parks, Joseph

Nuptials

J.V. Parks and Miss Aouda Smith were united in marriage at the home of the bride's uncle, Thomas Smith, 1316 Harrison street, Topeka, Wednesday, June 24, 1903, at 3 p.m., Rev. H.L. Nelson of this city officiating.

The wedding was a quiet one only the relatives of the contracting parties and Miss Emma Brooks of Rossville and Miss Ewert of Topeka being present.

The newly wedded pair belong to the best circles of Rossville. Mr. Parks is a young man of rare business qualifications and has been identified with Rossville business interests for several years. At present he is the proprietor of Parks' Cash Grocery. By his courteous treatment and honest, upright dealing he has built up a large and lucrative trade.

Miss Smith, daughter of Mr. Chas. Smith, is one of our most popular young ladies. Her many accomplishments and womanly virtues have won for her a wide circle of admiring friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Parks arrived home yesterday on the noon train and will go to housekeeping at once in J.D. Rockey's residence on north Main street.

May happiness and prosperity ever attend them through life's journey.
