Gretchen Ann Meyer and Kory Michael Upton exchanged wedding vows Saturday, July 29,1995, at the Rossville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ken Rogers and Fr. John Erickson officiated the wedding service.

Parents of the couple are Tom and Virginia Meyer, Rossville; Debbie Kisner, Silver Lake, and Dale Upton, Topeka.

The bride grew up in Rossville. She is a graduate of Rossville High School, and a May 1995 graduate of Kansas State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology. She is employed by the Menninger Foundation.

Mr. Upton grew up in Silver Lake and is a graduate of Silver Lake High School. He is a student at Washburn University and plans to graduate in December 1995, with a degree in economics and finance. He is employed by Piper Jaffray, Inc.

Following a honeymoon trip to Europe, the couple is at home in Topeka.

Meyer-Buchholz Couple Exchanges Vows

Before an altar decorated with peach carnations, ivory roses and baby’s breath, Joyce Meyer and Daryl Buchholz exchanged wedding vows Sunday, August 3, 1980, at 7 p.m. The Reverend Larry Buss performed the double ring ceremony at the United Methodist Church in Rossville, Ks.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Meyer, Rossville, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Buchholz.

Escorted by her father, the bride appeared in an ivory Qiana gown fashioned with stand-up collar, fitted bodice, and long straight sleeves enhanced with insets of silk Venice lace adorned with seed pearls, and an A-line skirt which flowed into a chapel-length train. Her four-tiered fintertip veil of silk illusion fell from an ivory lace headpiece.

The bride’s attendant was her sister, Faye Miller, Rossville. The flower girl was Shari Meyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Meyer, Rossville.

The groom was attended by James Olsen, Hitchcock, his brother-in-law. The ring bearer was Collin Olsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Olsen. The men in the bridal party were attired in dark brown tuxedos. The ushers were Terry Pentecost, Lawrence, Dave Sharp and Brad Miller, Rossville, brothers-in-law of the bride.

Nuptial music was played by Debora
Pentecost, Lawrence, pianist; and Janice Sharp, Rossville, organist, sisters of the bride. Paula Atkinson, Hays, sang, “And I Love You So” and “The Wedding Prayer.” Ann Koester, Redfield, So. Dak., registered the guests.

The reception followed at the church with the Methodist women serving. Hosts were Mr. and Mrs. Keith Meyer, Rossville, and Dr. and Mrs. Vaughn Meyer, Columbia, Mo., brothers of the bride. Serving the cake were Kathy Olsen, Hitchcock, So. Dak., sister of the groom, and Pat Leikam, Florence, Ala. At the coffee service were Mrs. Bill Koester, Redfield, So. Dak. and Mrs. Hollis Dumke, Sioux Falls, So. Dak.

Shelley McKenna, Jennings, and Janet Payne, Manhattan, poured the punch. The gift attendants were Gay Crawford, Rossville, and Kathy Miller, Kansas City, Ks.

A celebration was held at the Mainstreeter Restaurant and Club following the reception.

Following a wedding trip to the Lake of the Ozarks, the couple is at home at 206 Orchard Court, Columbia, Mo. The groom is employed at the University of Missouri, in the agronomy department. The bride attends the University of Missouri.

Mrs. J. H. Meyer announces the marriage of her daughter, Rose, to Mr. Alfred F. Heinisch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Heinisch of Topeka, which took place Monday morning at 8:30 o’clock in the Holy Name church, Topeka.

An uncle of the bride, Father Leo Gassman, of Forest City, Mo., read the service, and the bridegroom’s father sang during the mass.

The bride, gowned in white satin, made on princess lines and trimmed in lace, wore a becoming tulle veil and carried a bouquet of calla lilies. Her only attendant, Miss Magdeline Heinisch, a sister of the bridegroom, wore a gown of pink satin, with blue hat and accessories. She carried a bouquet of Talisman roses. Mr. Heinisch chose as his best man Mr. William H. Meyer, a brother of the bride.

The ceremony was followed by a wedding breakfast at the Heinisch home for the members of the family and a reception in the afternoon at Mrs. Meyer’s home in Rossville.

Mr. Heinisch and his bride left in the evening on a honeymoon trip and on their return, October 1, will be at home at 435 Clay street, Topeka.

Miller/Victor Couple Married in Late December
Beth Miller, Delia, and LeRoy Victor, Fort Riley, exchanged wedding vows in a double ring ceremony at 3 p.m. December 27, 1986, in the Central Presbyterian Church at Topeka, with the Rev. John Graham officiating.

Parents of the couple are Ivaleu and Donald Miller, Delia, and Marty and Wayne Victor, Omaha, Nebr.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory gown of lace and sheer-illusion net over satin. The lace sleeves formed points over the hands. Featured were a high neck, and ruffle at the bottom of the skirt which formed a cathedral train. The bride’s head-piece of satin held an elbow length veil.

She carried a cascade bouquet of ivory, dusty blue and mauve silk flowers.

Beth wore a necklace belonging to her mother, that had been worn by her Grandmother Eakin, her aunt, mother, and sisters at their weddings.

Sandra Eisenbarth, Silver Lake, served her sister as matron of honor. Lisa Miller, Holton, sister- in-law of the bride, was brides-matron. The attendants wore dusty blue satin gowns, trimmed in ivory lace, and carried bouquets of mauve, ivory and dusty blue silk flowers.

Lanea Eisenbarth, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Her dress was of mauve satin, trimmed in ivory lace.

Mr. Victor wore an ivory tuxedo. His best man was John VanBeck, Fort Riley. Eric Victor, Omaha, Nebr., was groomsman. The men wore silver gray tuxedoes.

Music was furnished by Diane and Rick Budden, St. Marys, and Theresa Bowers, Delia.

The reception was held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Miller, brother and sister-in-law of the bride. Helping with the reception were the bride’s Aunt Eudora McQueen, Delia, and Vena Mae Thompson, Delia, a friend of the family.

Mrs. Victor is a graduate of Rossville High School, and is employed by the Department of Commerce.

Mr. Victor graduated from Sauk Rapids High School and is with the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Riley.

Beverly Miller and Bob Cooksey were united in marriage in the Delia Presbyterian Church Friday, November 3, at 8 p.m. Rev. Don Sears officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Miller of Delia. Mr. Cooksey's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Oris Cooksey of Olathe.

Mrs. Ira Williams furnished the wedding music. Tapers were lighted by Sandra Miller, sister of the bride, and Debra Miller, a cousin.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of lace over bridal satin. Her shoulder length veil was attached to a ring of bridal satin. She carried a cascade arrangement of red roses and stephanotis.

The matron of honor was Mrs. Walt Lowe, Olathe. Her dress was of hot pink, and flowers of pink glamelias.

Mr. Cooksey’s best man was
Walt Lowe, Olathe. Ushers were Victor Miller, brother of the bride, and Rickey Miller, a cousin, of Willard.

Mrs. Pat Spears, Olathe, sister of the groom, was at the guest book. Nancy Miller, sister of the bride, distributed rice bags.

A reception at the church followed the ceremony. Assisting were Mrs. Robert Reedy, Topeka, Mrs. DeVere Miller, Willard, and Mrs. Lloyd Miller, aunts of the bride.

The couple is at home in Sunflower.

Miss Clare Rose Miller and Mr. Edward Goyette, of Hazelton,Kansas, were united in marriage at the North Topeka Baptist parsonage Tuesday morning at 10 a. m., Rev. W. G. Handley performing the ceremony. They returned to Rossville at noon and dinner was served at the Miller home at 8 o’clock for Mr. and Mrs. Goyette and Mr. find Mrs. J. O’Shaughessy, of Topeka whose first wedding anniversary was the same date. Mr. and Mrs. Goyette left yesterday for Kansas City and will be gone for two weeks before going to their home at Hazelton, Kansas.

Mr. Goyette is well known here having spent much time working in his brother Omer’s drug store and is known as a young man of great push. He has charge of a drug store at Hazelton. Mrs. Goyette is one of our nicest girls: she was raised in this city and, graduated two years ago from the Rossville high school.

Mr. and Mrs. Goyette have the best wishes of a host of Rossville friends for a long and happy wedded life.

A double-ring ceremony on Saturday, October 10, 1981, united in marriage Donna Sue Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde H. Miller, rural Rossville, and Edward (Ted) Arthur Dewhurst, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland H. Dewhurst, Andover, Mass. The Reverend Larry Buss officiated in the absence of the Reverend Bill Adair.

Linda Wehner, a sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Kate Eriksoh, also a sister of the bride, was bridesmatron. Flower girl was Paula Sue Wehner, niece of the bride.

Faye Miller, Rossville, attended the guest book. Rita Davis and Pam Flynn, St. Louis; and Flora Stwalley, Topeka, the bride’s aunt, served the wedding cake, coffee and punch. The bride’s mother created the wedding cake and topped it with a hand-blown glass heart with small bells and doves. Rita Wehner and Leona Faulk assisted in the kitchen.

Timothy Dewhurst, brother of the groom, Andover, Mass, was best man. Scott Rankin, St. Louis, was groomsman. Ushers were Larry Wehner, Rossville, and T. J. Flynn, St. Louis.

The wedding colors were nutmeg brown, ivory, burgundy and light pink. The bride’s attendants each wore floor length burgundy gowns with sleeveless ruffled vests. Each carried a long-stemmed pink rose with baby’s breath and fern, tied with a light pink lace ribbon. The flower girl wore a floor length pinafore dress in light pink. She carried a basket, decorated with pink and burgundy lace ribbons, filled with rose petals from Grandma Miller’s flower garden.

The bride’s mother wore a floor length gown in mauve colored silk alure with sheer long sleeves. The groom’s mother wore a floor length gown in violet with a floral sheer jacket. Mothers’ corsages were pink sweetheart roses and baby’s breath with pink lace ribbon.

The groom wore a nutmeg brown tuxedo with a butternut jacket trimmed in brown. The groom’s boutonniere was a red rose with baby’s breath. The groom’s attendants and the fathers wore solid nutmeg brown tuxedos with pink rose boutonnieres. The ushers each wore solid nutmeg brown tuxedos with pink carnation boutonnieres.

The bride’s gown was made of candlelight silk organza Brussels lace over Qiana satin. It was styled with a high banded lace neckline, fitted waist and capelet style back with Qiana satin covered buttons down the back and on fitted long sleeves. Dora Lea Miller and Robert Eugene Reynolds exchanged marriage vows at 2:00 p.m.. Saturday, June 8, 1974 at the Immaculate Conception Church in St. Marys.

The double ring ceremony was performed by the Reverend Dwight Seneker and Father Robert Hasenkamp.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Miller, Delia, and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Reynolds, Meriden.

Attending the bride were Teresa Marie Myers, matron of honor; Debra Miller and Julia Reynolds, bridesmaids. Flower girl was Cindy Hinterweger.

Wayne Gordon served as best man for Mr. Reynolds. Randy Rose and Tim Miller were groomsmen. Ushers were Rick Miller, Rick Gentry, Tom Leeper and Edward Jenssen.

Organ and vocal music was provided by Janice Meyer and Deborah Little.

The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, wore a full length lace dress. The full train was [missing part].

The marriage of Miss Ellen Miller daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl D Miller, 927 N. VanBuren street, Topeka, to Mr. Kenneth S. Howey, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Howey, of Elmont, was quietly solemnized, Saturday evening at 8:30 o’clock at the Howey home in Elmont. The Rev Richard Fisher read the service in the presence of the immediate members of the family.

Preceding the ceremony Mrs. William Howey and Mrs. Howard Howey sang a duet and Mrs. William Howel played the accompaniment and the wedding music.

The attractive bride wore a gown of King’s blue silk crepe with matching turban and carried a bouquet of Joanna Hill roses and a lace handkerchief, which belonged to her grandmother. The only attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jordan of Topeka. Mrs. Jordan wore a gown of chestnut brown and carried Talisman roses.

Mrs. Howey is a graduate of Rossville high school and Mr. Howey is graduate of Seaman high school. Following a short wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Howey will be at home Elmont.

Married.
Miss Emma Miller and Mr. Jessie L. Majors were united in marriage, at the home of the bride's parents, Dr. and Mrs. Henry H. Miller, North Main street, Wednesday afternoon, June 8th.

The invited guests began to arrive at about 2 o'clock and soon filled the spacious parlors of the Miller home. Promptly at the appointed hour Miss Margaret McAdams, stationed in the music room, sang that beautiful ballad entitled "All For You." This was followed by Lohengrin's wedding march played by Miss Anna Wyatt. The bridal couple, preceded by little Lois Eakin, carrying the wedding ring on a bridal rose, and Dr. and Mrs. Miller, came down the broad staircase, through the parlors and to the library. Here, in the bow window, under a canopy of ferns from which was suspended a large marriage bell made of daisies, the bride and groom, and Rev. H.L. Nelson officiating, plighted their troth in solemn reverence. The ceremony will long be remembered by all present for its beauty and tovchful sacredness.

During the congratulations that followed, Miss Wyatt played "Hearts and Flowers."

The library was profusely decorated with daisies; asparagus fern curtains draped the windows and festoons of the same hung from the archways. The reception hall was decorated with asparagus fern and white syringas; a wealth of red roses greeted the eye in the west parlor while in the north a lavish display of pink roses were tastefully arranged.

The bride wore a handsome gown of white chiffon batiste, trimmed with teneriffe laces and carried a bouquet of bridal roses. The groom was garbed in conventional black while the little ring girl was dressed entirely in white.

The bride was a vision of loveliness as with modest unassuming grace she took her station at the altar. She is a Kansas product; a quiet, sociable, sensible girl with all the accomplishments and womanly virtues that go to make an ideal wife. Her friends are numbered by her acquaintances who shower upon her their choicest benedictions as she enters upon her new station in life.

The groom is a young businessman of Topeka, who by his [missing] and business ability to the front and commands the admiration and esteem of all who know him.

A light luncheon was served the guests a the conclusion of the ceremony.

Dr. and Mrs. Miller were assisted in receiving the guests by Francis M. Crossley and Ella Millard of Topeka. Mrs. Miller wore a costume of blue foulard silk; Mrs. Crossley a black aeolian over black taffeta and Miss Millard, white chiffon and lace.

Mr. and Mrs. Majors left on the evening passenger for Garnett, Kansas, the boyhood home of the groom, for a few weeks visit. They will take up their residence in Topeka at 313 East 3rd street at the conclusion of their stay in Garnett, where they will be at home to their friends after July 1st. The guests were:

Mrs. Genevieve Miller and Joseph A. Babicki exchanged marriage vows at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Central Congregational Church.

The Rev. Don Jones, Rossville, officiated and Mrs. Ronald Petti John provided nuptial music.

Mrs. Babicki is a secretary with the law firm of Dickinson, Aiken, Crow, Skoog and Honeyman. Mr. Babicki is a practicing attorney with the law firm of Roose, Magee, Babicki and Connolly. He also maintains a part-time law practice in Rossville.

After a wedding trip to Dallas, Texas, the couple will be at home at 1421 Randolph. Topeka.

Miss Kathy Pearl Miller, Rossville, became the bride of Steven Eugene McCormic, Shawnee Mission, Ks., during a ceremony Saturday, October 18, at the Rossville Christian Church in Rossville, Ks.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. DeVere C. Miller, Rossville, and Mr. and Mrs. Derril McCormic, Shawnee Mission.

The bride’s sister, Miss Brenda Miller, Rossville, was the maid of honor, and James Hemeyer, Dallas, Tex., was the best man. Mrs. Gary Busse, Kansas City, Ks., and Mrs. Nancy Vonfeldt,

Sherman, Tex., were the bridesmaids. Jon Portell, Shawnee Mission, and Randy Kietzman, Kansas City, Ks., were the groomsmen.

After the reception and wedding dance at the Rossville American Legion, the newlyweds left on a honeymoon trip to Colorado. They will live in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.

Bob Kathy and Steve are graduates of Kansas State University. Kathy is an accountant for Bartlett Agri Enterprises, Inc., in Kansas City, Mo. Steven is assistant manager of the Nature's Corner Store in Independence, Mo.

Kim Miller and Jeffery Link exchanged marriage vows Saturday, July 14, 2001, at the Crestview United Methodist Church in Topeka at 6:00 p.m.

The evening ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Ronald L. Schultz.

The bride is the daughter of LeRoy and Pat Miller, Topeka. Her grandparents are Irene Miller, Topeka, Elinor Hensley, Carthage, MO, and Sam and Rosalie Kemler, Basehor.

The groom is the son of Dave and Sandy Link, Williamsburg. His grandprents are Lela Kress, Emporia, and Valentine and Mildred Link, Iola.

Lori Hogan was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Robin Rockey, Jennie Hiatt and Amy Rodehorst. Jennie and Robin also lit the clusters of pillar candles that stood off each side of the altar. A basket of beautiful wildflowers decorated the altar as a remembrance.for family members who have passed away or could not attend.

Rob Busse was best man. Groomsmen were Troy Ifland, Jeff Piersol, and Kelly Miller. The groomsmen also served as ushers.

Cassie Kemler was the flower girl. Ring bearer was Drake Whalen. Both are cousins of the bride. Katy Miller, sister of the bride, and Alyssa Miller, sister-in-law of the bride, attended the guest book and gift table.

David Oakleaf played the guitar and sang “More Than Everything" during the lighting of the Unity Candle.

A reception, dinner buffet, and dance followed the ceremony at the Kansas Museum of History. The party continued at Remington’s.

After a honeymoon trip up the northern coast of Lake Superior, the newlyweds reside in Williamsburg. Jeff is an assistant supervisor for Asplundb Tree Expert Co. and Kim is a certified aide for West Franklin USD #287.

Miller-Baumchen Wedding Held July 21

Lu Ann Miller, daughter of Don and Betty Miller, Route #7, Topeka, became the bride of Paul Baumchen, son of Dan and Iona Baumchen, St. Marys, on Saturday, July 21. Father Clarence Krajecik officiated at the ceremony performed at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Rossville.

Kathy Olejnik was matron of honor, and John Baumchen, brother of the groom, was best man. David Miller and Joe Baumchen, brothers of the bridal couple, were the ushers. Ringbearer Michael Dukart and flower girl Jodi Miller are cousins of the bride. Chris Baumchen was lector, and George Baumchen and Lane Dukart served as altar boys.

Diane and Suzanne Miller were in charge of the guest book and distributed the rice bags. Serving at the reception held in the Rossville City Park were Mary Baumchen, Denise Ebert, and Kate Miller.

The bride’s gown, which she designed, was made by her mother. It was of ivory bridal satin with an overlay of bridal cloud, and was trimmed with ivory lace. A deep, lace- edged ruffle attached to the round neckline also formed the sleeves. Her bouquet was of peach sweetheart roses and baby’s breath. Paul wore a peach rose boutonniere on his suit.

LuAnn, a graduate of Rossville High School, is a student in the Washburn University nursing program and is employed at St. Francis Hospital. Paul is a graduate of St. Marys High School and the Kaw Area Vo-Tech, where he earned a degree in ornamental horticulture. He is employed by Heritage Park Gardens, Topeka.

After a wedding trip to Las Vegas, Nevada, Mr. and Mrs. David J. Dukart are at home in Aurora, Colorado.

They were married recently at St. Therese Roman Catholic church in Aurora. The Rev. John J. Regan officiated at the double ring nuptial mass.

The bride is the former Miss Ruth Miller, originally of Rossville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Miller. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. C.R. Dukart and the late Dr. Dukart. After receiving his degree from the University of Denver, he went to work for the Denver U.S. National Bank where he is presently employed.

The bride given in marriage by her father wore a full length gown of white embroidered crystalline. The slim bell skirt was adorned with a detachable train flowing from the shoulders and a scalloped hem. She wore long satin gloves.

Her veil of elbow-length silk illusion cascaded from a crystal tiara, and she carried a bouquet of white orchids with yellow throats with a train of small orchids.

Honor attendants were Mrs. Norman Coyle, sister of the bride, and Bill Dukart, brother of the bridegroom.

Other attendants were Miss Aileen Dukart, sister of the bridegroom, and Doug Schuler.

Following the ceremony, was a reception at the Kings Table in Aurora.

Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Miller of Silver Lake announce the marriage of their daughter, Ruth, to Mr. Cecil E. Lloyd, also of Silver Lake. The wedding took place Saturday evening, December 19, at the residence of Rev. G. G. Horne, in Topeka, who read the marriage service. Miss Violet McRoberts of Topeka and Mr. John Miller of Silver Lake were the attendants. The wedding music was furnished by Mr. George Horne.

The bride wore a light navy wool suit with white satin blouse. Her peaked turban was of matching blue and her flowers a shoulder corsage of pink roses.

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd are both graduates of the Rossville high school. They will make their home on a farm southwest of Willard after the first of the year.

Deborah Little, Delia, sang “You Light Up My Life” and “For Baby For Bobbie”, before the ceremony and Laura Waller was at the organ.

The bride, who was escorted to the altar by her father, wore a gown of white organza over bridal satin. It was designed with a high neckline and full Bishop sleeves. Cotton Venise lace accented the neckline, bodice and sleeves. Seed pearls were sprinkled over the lace. The floor length skirt featured lace motifs and was bordered at the hemline, which extended to a chapel length train, by Venise lace.

A Juliet cap held the fingertip English illusion veil, edged in matching lace.
She carried mixed flowers of white carnations, red roses, miniature pink roses and baby’s breath. She wore pearl earrings, and an heirloom necklace.

Bridesmaids were Jackie Meyer, Axtell, a friend of the bride, and Beth Miller, Delia, sister of the bride.

Russell Kalcik, Hoyt, was bestman and Mark Eisenbarth was junior groomsman.

Ushers were Rodney Miller, Delia; Kenny Eisenbarth, Hoyt; brothers of the couple.

A reception was held in the church basement following the ceremony. Helping at the reception were Mrs. Nancy Boten, Great Bend, sister of the bride, Kathy Noll, Atchison, Mrs. Linnea Park, Lawrence and Pat Nixon, Topeka, friends of the bride.

Candles in tall candelabra between baskets of pink gladioli and white carnations at the altar of the First Christian Church were lighted by Miss Linda Gibler, Kansas City, Mo., and Miss Ethel Jo Hatch, Lenexa, Saturday, May 20. This was the setting for the marriage of Roberta Irene Minnis, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Russell G. Minnis, Omaha, Neb., and Mr. Robert Dennis Bennett, son of Mrs. Robert Bennett, Eureka.

Miss Wilma Kathryn Price, organist, furnished music as the guests were seated and after the candle lighting Miss Natalie Parker sang "Whither Thou Goest" and "Wedding Prayer." Miss Gibler and Miss Hatch wore floor length dresses of pink lace and crepe with portrait necklines. The short sleeves of the empire bodices were of lace and the A-line skirts were of crepe. Their belts were of pink satin and they wore open crown pillboxes of matching satin. The hats were complemented with short tulle veils and pink carnations were worn as wrist corsages.

Dr. Minnis gave his daughter in marriage and the Rev. Ben Duerfeldt officiated at the double ring ceremony solemnized at 2:30 p.m. For her wedding the bride chose a full length sleeveless A-line gown of linen. A band of Venice lace defined the empire waistline. A separate coat of the same material with Venice lace sleeves was open in front and fell from her shoulders to the floor. In the back it tapered to a chapel length train. A profile cap of Venice petals accented with crystals and pearls held her bouffant silk illusion veil. The bridal bouquet was fashioned of white roses and babysbreath.

Mrs. Gary Marriott, was matron of honor and Miss Peggy English, Eureka and Miss Mary Kay Pearl, Bartlesville, Okla., were bridesmaids.

The three attendants and the candlelight's wore identical dresses and hats. The attendants carried bouquets of pink carnations and babysbreath on lemon leaves.

Mr. Donald Bennett, Eureka, was best man for his brother. Mr. Gerald Brizendine, Wichita, served as groomsman and ushers were Mr. Daniel Vossman, Beloit; Mr. Thomas Harrison, Mission; Mr. Raymond Minnis and Mr. Richard Minnis, Omaha, Neb., brothers of the bride.

Mrs. Minnis, mother of the bride, wore an aqua lace suite, matching hat and accessories. The groom's mother, whose sheath was beige wore bone colored accessories. Their corsages were light and dark pink carnations respectively.

Mrs. H.O. Minnis was in charge of the church reception that followed the ceremony. She was assisted by Miss Pat Emrich and Mrs. Corinne Greene. Mrs. William Benham registered the guests.

The bride's table was centered with a four tier wedding cake. Satin bells adorned the top layer and the lower tiers were separated by sugar bells and pink rosebuds. Silver candelabra on each side were entwined with flowers. An arrangement of pink carnations and greenery repeated the reception colors.

Mr. and Mrs. Bennett, for their wedding trip are traveling to San Antonio, Tex., where they will make their home during his term of service in the U.S. Air Force.

Mrs. Bennett is a graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in elementary education. She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi social sorority and has been doing substitute teaching in the Omaha school system the past semester.

The groom is a graduate of the University of Kansas, Lawrence. He holds a degree in pharmacy and is a member of Rho Chi professional honorary fraternity.

The bride's travel ensemble was a sleeveless green sheath with a companion coat of floral print. Her accessories were matching green and she wore a corsage of white roses.

St. Stanislaus Church of Rossville was the setting for the wedding of Lori Anne Mitts and Royce Henry Muller at 11 a.m. Oct. 12, 1996.

The Rev. John Erickson officiated.

Parents of the couple are Donald Dean and Brenda Sue Mitts, Topeka, and Carroll Henry and Ronda Lavon Muller, Rossville.

Attending the bride were Caroline Canfield, Overland Park; Susan Mitts, Shawnee; and Amanda Muller and Samantha Muller, St. Marys.

Attending the groom were Dennis Ruby, Topeka, and Martin Muller, Ogden, Utah.

Ushers were Scot Clemet, Lecompton, and Kevin Umscheid, Topeka.

The bride is a graduate of Pratt High School and is studying human services at Washburn University. She is a department manager at Wall-Mart.

The groom is a graduate of Rossville High School and received a certificate in electronics technology from Kaw Area Technical School. He is a corporate technical instructor at Century United Cos.

They honeymooned in Las Vegas.

Charlotte Ann Mohler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence H. Mohler, Silver Lake, and David Alan Stremming, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Stremming were married at 7:30 p.m. April 21 in the Silver Lake Methodist Church.

The Rev. Clyde Noyce officiated, and the bride's brother, Edward Mohler, was candlelighter.

The bride wore a street-length sheath dress of white satin with a white Chantilly lace overdress. The bell sleeves and hemline were finished with scallops. Her short veil was held by a tiara of crystals and Chantilly lace. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses, daisies and white carnations.

Sharon Mohler was her sister's maid of honor, and Ronald Stremming, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were the bride's brothers, Wendell Mohler, and Dennis Mohler.

A reception in the church followed the ceremony.

The bride is a graduate of Silver Lake High School and is employed by Topeka State Hospital. Mr. Stremming is also a graduate of Silver Lake High School and is employed by W.A.L. Thompson Hardware.

The couple is living at 1263 Harrison.

Sharon Kay Mohler and Dean Wayne Smith exchanged marriage vows at 8 p.m. Sept. 28 in the United Methodist Church in Silver Lake. The Rev. Max Barnes officiated, and candlelighters were the bride's brother, Edward Mohler, Silver Lake, and Timothy Turner.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence H. Mohler, Silver Lake, and Mrs. Estel Smith.

The bride's silk organza gown had elbow-length sleeves and Empire bodice of Chantilly lace made with scalloped sabrina neckline. The detachable, circular train was trimmed with appliquéd motifs of sequin-trimmed lace.

Her shoulder-length bouffant veil was held by a Chantilly lace headpiece edged with seed pearls and sequins. She carried a bouquet of white sweetheart roses.

Attending the bride were her sisters, Mrs. David Stremming, Topeka, and Diane Mohler, Silver Lake.

David Stremming, Topeka, was best man and Ron Valigara, Topeka, was groomsman. Ushers were Wendell Mohler, Silver Lake, and Don Smith, Topeka, brothers of the couple.

A reception in the church followed the ceremony. After a short honeymoon in the Ozarks, the couple is at home in Topeka.

The bride is a graduate of Silver Lake High School and is employed by the Kansas Treatment Center for Children. Mr. Smith was graduated from Topeka High School and is employed by General Electric.

Mr. and Mrs. John Moore, or Delia announce the marriage of their daughter, Ruth, to Mr. Vernon G. Shideler, son of the late W. G. Shideler, which was quietly solemnized Sunday morning at 9 o’clock in the parlor of the United Presbyterian church with the Rev. Robert H. French officiating.

The bride was pretty in a black, chiffon dress worn with black accessories and a corsage of white gardenias. The only attendants were Miss Winnogene Martin and Mr. Gale Keller.

The ceremony was followed by a luncheon at the home of the bride’s parents. Covers were laid at luncheon for the members of the bridal party and Mrs. Shideler’s classmates of 1935.

Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Shideler, Miss Martin, Mr. Keller, Miss Lorwayne Zirkle, Miss Mary Alice Constant, Mr. Harry McNieve. Mr. Edward Macha and Mr. Clayton Hejtmanek.

Mr. Shideler is an employee of the Fleming-Wilson Mercantile Co., of Wichita, and with his bride will be at home at 1603 Fairview avenue.

Moran - Riley wedding is solemnized in Dover
The marriage of Eva Moran, dau-ghter of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Moran, Topeka, and Charles E. Riley was solemnized Saturday afternoon, February 1, at the Federated Church in Dover.

The Rev. Mr. Williams read the vows. Mrs. George Lambotte was organist and Phil Kissling sang. Candles were lighted by Jerry Wright and Mike Weaver, Maple Hill.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a ballerina gown of Chantilly lace and tulle. The fitted bodice of lace had an illusion yoke and Queen Anne collar. The tulle skirt had a deep peplum of lace. She wore a single strand of pearls, a gift of the groom. Her veil was of white tulle. Red roses and white carnations on a white Bible formed the bridal bouquet.

Matron of honor was Mrs. Murrell Wright, sister of the bride. She wore an aqua brocadwore an aqua brocaded silk and rayon ballerina-length gown and carried pink carnations.

Ellen Moran was flower girl. Her dress was of a pink print with pink organdy overskirt. A pink carnation half wreath was in her hair. Willie Pletcher, Rossville, was ring bearer.

Austin Riley was best man. Francis Moran, brother of the bride, and James Heath, Manhattan, were ushers.

A reception following the ceremony was given at the church. Assisting friends were: Mrs. Kyle Moran, Mrs. Ben Grindol, Mrs. Gayle Blythe, Dover, Mrs. Francis Moran, Mrs. Kenneth Moran, Mrs. Wayne Weaver, and Mrs. William Pletcher, Rossville.

The bride, a graduate of Dover High School, attended Clark’s Business School and is employed in the Santa Fe offices.

The groom, also a graduate of Dover High School, was graduated from Kansas State College January 25, 1958.

Olive was the scene of a very pleasant wedding on the evening of the April 14th at 9 o'clock, when Walter Owens and Miss Bessie Morrow were united in marriage by Rev. F.W. Pontius of the United Brethren church. The ceremony was followed by a two course luncheon. The bride wore a gown of white net over light blue crepe de Cline and carried a bouquet of bridal roses and lilies. The brides maid Miss Minnie Owens, was gowned in pink messaline and carried pink and white carnations. Mr. John Moore was best man. Decorations were pink and white carnation. Of great interest to the RHS students and the community was the marriage of Anna Marie Moyer, daughter of Mrs. Trinnie Moyer of Willard, to Mr. Edward McMaster of the same community. The wedding ceremony took place March 10 at the court house in Topeka.

The bride wore a Navy blue dress with brown accessories. Those attending the wedding were the bride's mother, Mrs. Althea Tonsick, and Mrs. Ada Hamilton, of Topeka; Elberta Viergever and Cary Searcy of Willard. The couple at the present time are staying at the home of the bride's mother. They plan to live permanently at Onaga. All the students and faculty of RHS wish to extend best wishes to Anna Marie for all the happiness in the years to come. --Pete

The marriage of Leslie D. Moyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Moyer, Rossville, and Harry E. Kibbe, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Keith Kibbe, Olathe, was solemnized in the Rossville United Methodist Church in a double ring ceremony performed by the Reverend Deborah Ackman on Saturday, May 20, 1978, at two in the afternoon.

The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, wore a fragile creation of satin sheer and pearl embroidered Alencon lace. An open neckline was designed in the natural waist bodice of English net and lace. Scallops of lace formed the petite cap sleeves. More appliques flowed down the front of the circular, floor length skirt. A floating chapel length train finished the gown. A Juliet cap embellished with seed pearls held an elegant walking veil of white illusion. An edge of pearl embroidered lace completed the alluring headpiece. She carried a cascade bouquet of yellow miniature carnations, white daisies, baby's breath and light blue straw flowers, accented with white ribbon streamers.

Mrs. Janice Sharp, organist, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Rick Gentry who sang "Evergreen" and "Annie's Song."

Two nine-branched candelabras decorated with white daisies, yellow pixie carnations, baby's breath and blue straw flowers were on either side of the altar. Four aisle hurricane lamp candelabras were decorated with the same type of flowers as were used at the altar.

Gayle Moyer, sister of the bride, was her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Colleen Brennan, Rossville, Kristie French and Lynda Spielman, Topeka. They wore pale yellow floor length gowns of Qiana with scoop necklines and ruffles at the hems. Their white, wide-brimmed hats were decorated with yellow streamers and flower clusters of daisies, pixie carnations and baby's breath.

Jennifer Keller, the flower girl, was dressed like the bridesmaids. She carried a deep basket with yellow petals.

The bridegroom wore a white tuxedo with a boutonniere of three yellow sweetheart roses and baby's breath. Shawn Langworthy, ring bearer, was dressed in a white tuxedo and his boutonniere was of two yellow sweetheart roses and baby's breath.

Dick Kibbe, Holton, was best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Bob Kerwin, Maple Hill, Chuck Macha, Perry, and Brad Miller, Rossville. Bill Heslet and Dennnis Nadeau, Rossville, were ushers. They wore light blue tuxedos with boutonnieres of white carnations and baby's breath.

Mrs. Dick Kibbe, Holton, attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the American Legion Building in Rossville. Mrs. Beverly Gentry and Mrs. Betty Mitchell served the cake. Four heart shaped cakes surrounded the lower level of pillars on a four-tiered cake. Two champagne fountains were used for the punch. Miss Janice Rezac and Mrs. Carol Bennett assisted at the gift table.

Mr. and Mrs. Kibbe are graduates of Rossville High School. Mrs. Kibbe is a medical secretary with the Orthopedic Clinic in Topeka. Mr. Kibbe works for Associated Bearings Company in Topeka.

They took a wedding trip to Lake of the Ozarks. The couple is at home in Silver Lake.

Maria Teresa Munoz and Thomas James Mansfield were married Saturday, December 8, in an afternoon ceremony at St. Patrick's Church, Parsons.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P.V. Munoz, Parsons. The groom's mother is Esther Mansfield, Rossville.

The marriage was performed by the Reverend George Seuferling of Kansas City and the Reverend J. Eugene Komer of Pittsburg. The bride was given in marriage by her father.

She wore a v-necked white qiana dress with an empire waist, trimmed in lace with pearl buttoned cuffs and a 12-foot cathedral length mantilla veil trimmed in matching lace, with a garland strand from her mother's wedding crown. The dress was made by the bride's brother.

She carried a bouquet of red roses, baby's breath and plumosa fern. She also carried her mother's wedding prayer book and a Belgian handkerchief trimmed with handmade lace, a gift from her brother.

Debbie Hanigan, Parsons, was maid of honor. Bridal attendants were Rosie Munoz and Clara Heironimus, both sisters of the bride, Parsons, and Virginia Dickson, Emporia.

Mike Nadeau, Topeka, was best man. Groomsmen were Kelly Wood, Amarillo, Tex.; Bill Whitlock, Rossville, and Steve Patterson, Topeka.

Candle lighters were Tommi Lea Mansfield, Silver Lake, daughter of the groom, and Vicki Munoz, Parsons, niece of the bride.

Music was provided by Rose Carmel Munoz and Tony Munoz, sister and brother of the bride.

A reception followed the ceremony at St. Patrick's School, and a wedding dinner was held in the evening. Assisting at the reception were Diane McAtee, Debbie Stich, Kathleen Duffy, Margee Munoz, niece of the bride, and Linda Munoz, sister-in-law of the bride.

The bride was graduated from Emporia State University and is a merchandise reviewer for Sears, Roebuck & Co. in Chicago. The groom also attend the Emporia University.

The couple is at home in Chicago.
