| Anniversary- Zeller, Uriah and Marie 2 60th Anniversary Observed
Mr. and Mrs. Uriah Raub Zeller III, Rossville, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary April 27, 1992, with three of their daughters in Topeka.
Plans for the whole family to honor the occasion August 8 and 9,1992, were interrupted by the unexpected death of Mr. Zeller on July 25,1992, the day this picture was taken. His funeral was July 28, at Topeka Bible Church.
The Zellers’ nine children and their families, including 25 of their grandchildren and two of their great-grandchildren, gathered to honor his memory.

| Anniversary- Zickefoose, Samuel and Christina Dr. and Mrs. Zickefoose to Observe 40th Anniversary
Dr. and Mrs. S. F. Zickefoose, Rossville, will be honored with an open house in celebration of their fortieth wedding anniversary. The reception will be held in the family home in Rossville Sunday, September 21, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend. The couple asks that no gifts be presented. Hosts for the occasion are the couple’s children, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel F. Zickefoose, Kansas City, and Mr. and Mrs. Allen W. Davis, Manhattan.
Dr. and Mrs. Zickefoose were married near Grove on September 15, 1935 at the home of the bride’s parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip Bahner. Attendants for the couple were Elsie Bahner, now Mrs. M. C. Rasch of Rossville, sister of the bride; and the late Dr. Edward Zickefoose, brother of the groom.
Dr. Zickefoose had a veterinary practice in Onaga and Rossville and was a federal veterinarian before his retirement. Mrs. Zickefoose recently retired after eighteen years as secretary for the Farm Bureau Insurance.

Pete Ziegler and Melba Bixby were married April 22, 1952.

Married 50 Years
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zlatnik of Delia will be honored Sunday, September 22, with a Golden Wedding Anniversary reception from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Delia Grade School. The reception will be given by their children; Lavern Zlatnik, Delia; Mrs. Rosella Hoglund, Overland Park; Leland Zlatnik, Topeka; Mrs Evelyne Parkerson, Decatur, Ga.; Mrs. Mary Alice Huntsman, Halstead; Mrs. Judith Macha, Arlington Heights, Ill., and their families.
Mr. and Mrs. Zlatnik were married September 24, 1924 in Delia. They have lived all fifty years at the same farm home. They have fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

| Anniversary- Zlatnik, Joseph and Cecile 3 Joseph and Cecile Zlatnik celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary quietly at home on Saturday, September 24.
On Sunday morning after church services where they had been recognized by the congregation and congratulated by their friends, they returned to the home of Laverne and Velma Zlatnik. Soon the other members of the family began to arrive with baskets of food for a reunion.
Those attending were Rosella and Harold Hoglund and son Douglas, Overland Park; Leland and JoAnn Zlatnik and son Aaron, Miss Judy Harris, Mary Alice and David Huntsman and daughters Brenda and Laura, Judith and Garry Macha and sons Brent and Geogary; Mark Zlatnik and children Julie, Sheila, Scott and Melissa, Carolyn and Jeff Johnston, and Alan and Tammy Zlatnik, all of Topeka.
One daughter, Evelyn Parkerson, Decatur, Ga., was not able to come at this time. She plans to come in October so that she can attend the Keller reunion also which will be October 9.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rossee, Holton, were afternoon callers.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Thompson, Riverside, Calif., plan to arrive in Rossville October 7 when they can attend the Keller reunion and spend a week visiting relatives and friends.

Hosts will be Mrs. Zlatnik’s mother, Mrs. Louise Lewelling, Rossville, and their children — Mark and Linda Zlatnik, Wichita; Terry and Carolyn Orozco, Topeka; and Alan and Tammy Zlatnik, Rossville.
Velma and Laverne have twelve grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Velma Lewelling and J. Laverne Zlatnik were married August 8,1948, at the home of the bride near Soldier, with the Rev. Alex Eckert officiating.
Mr. Zlatnik is a semi-retired farmer and Mrs. Zlatnik retired from U.S.D. #321.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zlatnik and daughter Evelyne, and Helen Livingston visited at the Leland Zlatnik home Sunday evening. They all went to Gage Park again to listen to the Santa Fe Band Concert. Aaron, Bret and Craig Zlatnik and Miss Susan Horn all played in the Band.

60 Years Of Marriage,
For Mr. & Mrs. Zook
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zook of Rossville celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary Sunday with open house. A number of friends dropped in to congratulate the couple.
Mr. and Mrs. Zook were married on July 4, 1894, in Cuba, Kansas. When questioned as to why this date was chosen for their wedding, Mr. Zook replied, “Well, my wife’s father’s birthday was on that day and that’s; the way he wanted it. And, too, I was. railroading at that time and didn’t, get too much time off.”
Mr. Zook is 82 years of age and Mrs. Zook is 78. Both are enjoying fair health.

| Anniversary- Zook, Frank and Daisy 3 Married 63 years
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zook will observe their 63rd wedding anniversary on July 4. They were married in 1892 in Cuba, Kansas, where they both were born and reared. The following September they moved to a farm near Rossville.
Mr. Zook farmed around Rossville until 1940 when they moved to their present home in the southwest part of Rossville.
Mr. and Mrs. Zook had one daughter who passed away at the early age of 13.
Mr. Zook is 83 and Mrs. Zook is 76. |
