Kelly Stewart and Scott Dick Exchange Vows
Miss Kelly Sue Stewart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen W. Stewart, Dover, and Scott Wayne Dick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne G. Dick, Rossville, were united in marriage on Saturday, June 20, 1981, at 7 p.m. in the Rossville Christian Church. Bob Sieh, pastor, officiated at the double ring ceremony. Nuptial music was provided by Mrs. Janice Sharp and Mr. Dave DeForest.

For the ceremony, the aisle and altar candelabra were decorated with silk yellow roses, blue peach blossoms and blue bows. The candles were lighted by the bride's sister, Miss Janelle Stewart, and the groom's cousin, Jeff Dick. Janelle's gown was yellow with a yellow floral print overlay; Jeff wore a light yellow Ashley tuxedo.

The couple was presented for marriage by their parents in a "Reaffirmation of Family Ties" ceremony.

The bride's white floor-length gown with chapel train was designed and made by the groom's mother. It featured an empire bodice covered with rose lace appliqués, dotted with seed pearls, and oval neckline and sheer balloon sleeves with rose lace appliqués. Triangle tiers of rose lace motifs and scalloped rose lace trimmed the lower edge of the skirt and train. A three-quarter length silk illusion veil edged with matching scalloped rose lace held by a lace covered caplet completed her attire. The bride wore her grandmothers' gold wedding band and a pearl necklace, a gift from the groom. Her cascade bouquet was of yellow roses, stephanotis and baby's breath.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Melanie Crow, Dover. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Cindy Horn and Miss Cherryl Stewart, sisters of the bride; Miss Jayne Dick, sister of the groom; Miss Kim Enzbrenner and Miss Theresa Ackley. They wore floor length gowns of blue coupe de ville, with a blue floral print crystalline overlay. Each carried a single yellow silk rose with white daisies. Flower girl was Francie Lister. her dress was yellow coupe de ville with a yellow floral print overlay. She carried a white lace basket from which she dropped yellow rose petals on the bridal path.

The groom's best man was his cousin, Rodney Dick. He wore a white Sherwood tuxedo. Groomsmen were Kevin Dick, brother of the groom; Rod Miller, John Robb, Kerry Bryant and Mark McLeod. They wore light blue Ashley tuxedos. Ring bearer Dean Gideon and ushers Randy Dick and Shawn Gideon are cousins of the groom. They wore light yellow Ashley tuxedos.

Lighting of the unity candle concluded the marriage ceremony.

Honored guests at the wedding were the couple's grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. David Stewart, Dover; Mr. and Mrs. Garland Gideon, Paxico; and Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Dick, Sr., Rossville.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the parish hall. The bride's table was centered with a five-tier cake decorated with yellow roses and light blue daisies. It was topped with white peace doves. Crystal candelabra held blue candles. Serving were Mrs. Shirley Danielson, Mrs. DeAnn Gideon, Mrs. Betty Dick, and Mrs. Sheryl Dick, aunts of the couple. Also assisting were Mrs. Phyllis Stadler, Miss Lisa Stadler, Mrs. Jeanette Dick, Miss Jackie Gideon, Miss Shelly Moran and Miss Tammy Johnston. Miss Jennifer Dick, cousin of the groom, passed rice bags. Mrs. Connie Dick was at the guest book.

Mrs. Dick is a graduate of Mission Valley High School and is employed by the Rossville Veterinary Clinic.

Mr. Dick, a graduate of Rossville High School, attended Fort Hays State University and owns and operates the Dick Mobil Oil Station in Rossville.
