    Cherie Cutbirth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Cutbirth, and Dan Martinek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Martinek, exchanged marriage vows in Holy Name Catholic Church during a ceremony read by the Rev. Earl Defat.

    The bride wore a floor-length gown of imported silk organza styled with Empire bodice of Chantilly lace and short angel wing sleeves. The A-line skirt was fashioned in a scalloped redingote effect. Her chapel length veil was bordered with scalloped Chantilly lace. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and Woburn Abby roses with pearlized stephanotis.

    Mrs. Ron Funk was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Mrs. Ron Bozarth and the bridegroom's sister, Debbie Martinek. Junior bridesmaids were the couple's sisters, Shirley Cutbirth and Cindy Martinek. Tina Martinek and Darrell Martinek, sister and brother of the bridegroom, were flower girl and ring bearer.

    Tom Donnelly was best man and groomsmen were Kenny Bond and the bridegroom's brother, Mark Martinek. Ushering were Bill Bond and Greg Bond.

    A reception in the Myron Green cafeteria followed the ceremony, and the wedding dance during the evening was at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

    The bride is a graduate of Topeka High School and is attending Clark's School of Business. She is employed in the office of the Secretary of State.

    Mr. Martinek was graduated from Hayden High School and is employed by Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co.

    Cherie Cutbirth is the bride-elect of Daniel Martinek. The announcement of their betrothal is made by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cutbirth. Mr. Martinek is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Martinek.

    Miss Cutbirth is a graduate of Topeka High School and is employed by the Secretary of State's Office. She is attending Clark's School of Business, studying IBM Keypunch.

    Mr. Martinek is a graduate of Hayden High School and is employed by the Pepsi Cola Bottling Co.

    The couple is planning an Aug. 30 wedding.
