    Miss Marilyn Phelps of Sedgwick, Kan., became the bride of Darrell Alton Patterson of this city on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Metropolitan Baptist church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bryon Phelps of Sedgwick and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A.A. Patterson, 542 North Bluff.

    Rev. Irving O. Conradson performed the double ring ceremony. Bob Gorman and Mrs. Dale Walton of Augusta, sister of the bride, sang wedding selections, accompanied at the organ by Buddy Whitesides of Wichita. The bride wore a gown of nylon net and Chantilly lace with a lace bodice and full net skirt appliquéd with lace. Her fingertip veil of French illusion was trimmed with matching lace. She carried pink roses and white tuberoses with white satin streamers.

    Alice Lee Phelps was matron of honor and Eleanor Phelps was bridesmaid. Both are the bride's sisters. Charmaine Owens and Sharon Lewis lighted the tapers.

    The matron of honor wore a green taffeta gown with matching mitts and halo of nylon. The bridesmaid was attired similarly in pink.

    The bride's mother wore navy crepe and the bridegroom's mother chose navy organdy. Each had white accessories and a corsage of pink carnations.

    Jerry Patterson, Wichita, served his brother as best man. Ushers were Brice Orr of Neodesha, Kan., Kenneth Visser of Riley, Kan., and Merwin Lewis of Sedgwick.

    A reception was held at Twentieth Century clubhouse

    After a wedding trip to Topeka the couple now is at home at 1513 Parkwood lane in this city. -Wichita Eagle
