    Ward-Schmidt Couple Exchange Vows

    Miss Debra Ward, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ward, Delia, and Kay Don Schmidt, son of Mrs. Irene Keeran, Centertown, Mo., exchanged wedding vows in a 2 p.m. ceremony at the United Methodist Church in California, Mo., on Saturday, April 11.

    The Reverend John Kerr officiated. Miss Leneen Paskowitz was organist and sang “Theme from Ice Castles” and “The Lord’s Prayer.”

    The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a white brocade satin wedding gown and lace cap that secured her elbow-length veil edged with lace. She carried a bouquet of daisies.

    Miss Renee Schmidt, Springfield, Mo., sister of the groom, was maid of honor. Mrs. Sandy Rogers, St. Martins, Mo., and Mrs. Mary Morlan, Naylor, Mo., served as bridesmaids. The attendants’ gowns were mint green, yellow, and peach.

    The groom chose Gary Borghardt as best man. Mark Elliott, Sedalia, Mo., and Robert Pace were groomsmen. Paul Kiesling, Steve Hickman, and Bernie Yeagers of Loose Creek, Mo., served as ushers.

    Flower girl was Miss Cindy Rezac, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Rezac, Silver Lake. Ring bearer was Paul High, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert High, Centertown, Mo.

    A reception followed the ceremony in the church dining room. The women of the church served.

    The couple is making their home in California, Mo.
