| Marriage- Berkey, Pamela-Sibert, Kenneth Announcement of the engagement of Pamela Jane Berkey to Kenneth Van Sibert II, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth V. Sibert, Kansas City, is made by Miss Berkey's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald D. Berkey, Rossville.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Kansas State University where she majored in radio and television. She served on the executive council of her sorority, Kappa Delta, and is a member of Kappa Alpha Mu, honorary photography fraternity, and Alpha Epsilon Rho, honorary radio and television fraternity.
Mr. Sibert was graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City with a BA degree in radio and television, majoring in broadcast journalism. He is a member of Delta Chi fraternity and Pi Kappa Delta, honorary forensics fraternity. He served as assistant editor of The University News, student newspaper, and was president of the University Young Democrats. He is a member of Phillip Lillard Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. in Topeka.
Both Miss Berkey and Mr. Sibert are employed by the Studio Broadcasting System of KTSB-Television in Topeka.
A June wedding is planned.

Berkey-Sibert
Pamela Jane Berkey is the bride of Kenneth Van Sibert II.
Their wedding was solemnized at 4 p.m. June 1 in First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Kenneth Mauldin officiating. Candles were lighted by Kay Dee Mortimer, Mission.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Donald Deane Berkey, Rossville, and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Van Sibert, Kansas City, Mo.
The bride's floor-length gown of white silk organza was designed with crescent waistline, wide, oval neckline and bridal point sleeves. Embroidered bands of organza, in daisy design, formed a panier effect down the front of the gown and were repeated on the chapel-length mantle train.
Her bouffant veil was caught to a forward headpiece of organza petals with pearl trim. She carried a bouquet of daisies and baby's breath.
Judy Heck, Independence, Mo., and Mrs. Curtis Berkey, Rossville, were the bride's honor attendants. Mrs. Don Schneider, Youngstown, N.Y., was brides-matron. Serving as flower girl and boy were Kathy Schneider and Kurt Schneider. David Schneider carried the rings.
Charles Post was best man, and groomsmen were Don Schneider, Youngstown, N.Y., and Curtis Berkey, Rossville, brother of the bride. David Jones, Kansas City, Mo., and Richard Atman II ushered.
A reception in the Kansan Towers followed the ceremony.
The couple took a wedding trip to the Ozarks and is at home at 4021 Twilight Drive.
The bride is a graduate of Kansas State University and is employed as director of continuity of KTSB-TV.
Mr. Van Sibert was graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, Mo., and is employed by Kansas Power and Light Co. as publicity director. |
