Hosting the reception will be their children, Larry and Linda Wehner, Helen and Calvin Lytle, and June and Marvin Burgett, all of Rossville. They have 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Clarence Wehner and Rita Bindel were married April 12, 1944, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in the farming community of Fidelity, south of Sabetha. They have lived in Rossville since shortly after their marriage. Mr. Wehner is a retired merchant who had stores in Rossville, Delia and St. Marys for many years. Mrs. Wehner is retired from nursing.
		Anniversary- Wehner, Clarence and Rita 2 Rita and Clarence Wehner Clarence and Rita Wehner, Rossville, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner with their children and grandchildren. Clarence Wehner and Rita Bindel were married April 12, 1944, at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church at Fidelity, south of Sabetha. Their children and spouses are June and Marvin Burgett, Helen and Calvin Lytle, and Larry and Linda Wehner, all of Rossville. They have 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The couple have lived in the Rossville area all 60 years of their marriage. They are retired. Cards may be sent to Mr. and Mrs. Wehner at 247 Main, Rossville, 66533.
		Anniversary- Wehner, Clarence and Rita 3 Neither rain, nor mud, nor gloom of night… On Dec. 31,1941, at 9 p.m. Clarence Wehner and Rita Bindel met at a dance hall south of Kiro, called Riverside. I, Clarence, courted her until the spring of 1944. We were to get married at a country church south of Sabetha. It was called Fidelity Catholic Church. We were supposed to tie the knot on April 12. On April 11,1944, it rained all day. The wedding party was supposed to have rehearsal at 7 p.m. April 11. We got stuck in the middle of the road in the mud. Finally we walked to the church by 9 p.m. and had rehearsal for the four of us. Then we walked to the bride-to-be home 1 1/2 miles south of the church, and got there by midnight. The next morning the ground was frozen enough and we took a team of horses and wagon and pulled the car until the wheels would turn and it made a good track. Then back to the church by 10 a.m. That was on April 12, 1944. We came to live on a farm by Delia, then to Rossville. Had three children, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
