    Duane “Hap” and Marcia Anderson of Silver Lake will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Silver Lake Senior Center, 404 E. Lake in Silver Lake.

    Hosts will be their children, Randall and Connie Anderson and Deborah and Glenn Rees, all of Silver Lake, and Tammy and Alan Zlatnik, Rossville. The Andersons have seven grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

    Marcia Brooks and Hap Anderson were married Sept. 16,1951, at West Side Baptist Church in Topeka.

    Mr. Anderson retired in 1992 from Dean’s Excavating after 24 years of service. He is engaged in farming.

    Mrs. Anderson is a homemaker.

    Hap and Marcia were married Sept. 16,1951, at Westside Baptist Church in Topeka.

    The Andersons have lived in the Silver Lake/Grove area, where Hap has farmed and Marcia has been active in the community.
