In the presence of the immediate families and intimate friends Saturday afternoon, Miss Beverly Jean Cless, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Cless, became the bride of Mr. Leland D. Wagner, son of Mrs. Anna Wagner.

The marriage service was read at 2 o'clock by the Rev. Ralph Strong of the Potwin Presbyterian church before the fireplace in the Cless home. A bouquet of pastel chrysanthemums decorated the mantle.

Mrs. J.C. Campbell of Rossville played a prelude of nuptial selections.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a dusty pink Chantilly lace gown over taffeta designed with Peter Pan collar, semi cap sleeves, fitted bodice, and voluminous ballerina-length skirt. Her veil of illusion fell from a lace Dutch cap and she carried a white Bible topped with white roses.

Mrs. Julius Darigo of Lawrence was the bride's only attendant. She wore a champagne-colored Chantilly lace gown designed with V-neckline, cap sleeves and full ballerina-length skirt. She carried a colonial bouquet of pastel carnations.

Mr. Don Ray was best man.

Mrs. Cless chose a peacock blue dress with black accessories. Mrs. Wagner wore a gray two-piece dress. Both had corsages of red carnations.

Mrs. Charity James, grandmother of the bride, wore a navy dress and had a corsage of white carnations.

Mrs. J.W. Cless, another grandmother of the bride, wore a wine dress and the corsage was also of white carnations.

The date of the marriage marks the fifty-fourth wedding anniversary of the bride's great aunt, Mrs. Gus Kassebaum and Mr. Kassebaum of Rossville.

A reception was held immediately following the ceremony. The service table was covered with a white linen cloth, and centered with a three-tiered wedding cake encircled with flowers. Crystal holders with burning tapers completed the decoration. Miss Jeanne Hesse presided at the punch bowl, and Mrs. Thomas Smith, cousin of the bride cut the cake. Assisting with the serving were Mrs. Clyde Cless of Hutchinson and Mrs. W.H. Kerr of Rossville. Mrs. James E. Crater was in charge of the guest book.

For traveling Mrs. Wagner wore a two-piece pantomime-colored dress with matching accessories. Her jewelry was a rhinestone necklace and earrings, a gift of the bridegroom.

Following a wedding trip to Chicago the couple will make their home in the Del Monte apartments.

Mr. Wagner, a graduate of Topeka high school, attended Washburn University. She is employed by the Merchants National Bank.

Mr. Wagner attended Kansas State college for three years. He is employed by the Socony-Vacuum Oil Co. in Topeka - Capital.
