Vicki Marlene Cowan and Michael Steven Wilson exchanged vows April 24, in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Mary’s. The Rev Edward Thro officiated at the p.m. ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth V. Cowan Rossville, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack M. Wilson, Wamego.

The bride wore a floor-length Empire gown of organza. Re-embroidered lace trimmed the bishop sleeves, formed the yoke and standup collar and a wide inset of the chapel train. Lace appliques trimmed with pearls accented the gown and Chantilly lace edged the train and hemline. Her veil was caught to a headpiece of lace, pearls and organza loops and she carried a cascade of white roses, gardenias and stephanotis.

Mrs. Fred Elevier was her sister’s matron of honor and bridesmaids were another sister, Denise Cowan, Rossville, and Sharri Sage. Sheila Martinek, Rossville, was flower girl and Kerry Marney, also of Rossville, was ring bearer.

Fred Hines was best man. Groomsmen were Marvin Wilson, brother of the bridegroom, and Ben Brunner, both of Wamego. Fred Elevier and Keith Cowan, Rossville, seated the guests.

A reception in the Centennial building in St. Marys followed the ceremony.

Mrs. Wilson was graduated from Rossville High School and attended Clark’s School of Business. She is employed in the Santa Fe Offices. Mr. Wilson is a graduate of Wamego High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years.

The couple is at home at 900 Mulvane.
