Mrs. Parr is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.E. James, is a graduate of the Rossville high school, and is very popular among her circle of friends. Mr. Parr is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J.M Parr. He was born an raised in this vicinity and has spent his life on the farm. Mr. Parr has rented the farm owned by Ed Patterson for the next year and he and his bride will be "At Home" to their many friends after March 1.

The ceremony at Topeka was witnessed only by the parents of the contracting couple. After spending the night in Topeka they went to Manhattan today to visit the brothers of Mr. Parr who are attending K.S.A.C. The Reporter joins their many friends in extending congratulations.

Wm. Sneller presented Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parr with a hand made paring knife as a wedding present. The handle was made of alternate white and red colored wood and the blade shaped from an extra quality steel. Several other families here, including our own, have one made by Mr. Sneller and can attest to the usefulness and lasting quality of the knives.

On arriving home they were given a grand surprised by Mr. and Mrs. Harry James. The following young folks were invited in and were prepared to meet the bride and groom and showered them with rice to their hearts content: Misses Mabel Bings, Edna Immenshuh, Ethel James, Victoria Lewis; Messrs. George Eversole, Ray Parr, Frances Horton and Lance Jamieson.

After spending the evening in a social way and music, dainty refreshments were served. A very pleasant evening was reported.
