    Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Ward will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary next Sunday, January 13, with open house at the Community Center. No invitations are being sent but friends are invited to call between 2 and 5 p.m.

    Mr. and Mrs. Ward were married January 12, 1897 at the home of her parents near St. Clere, Kansas. The first 27 years of their marriage was spent on a farm near Adrian, Kansas. They came to Rossville four years ago from Silver Lake when Mr. Ward retired from farming. Their Golden Wedding anniversary was celebrated at their farm home north of Silver Lake where they had spent 34 happy years.

    The couple has one daughter, Mrs. Zella Jacques of Rossville, one granddaughter, and four great grandchildren. He is 82 years of age and she is 78.
