| Marriage- McElvain, Ethel-Umscheid, Paul Miss Ethel Josephine McElvain, of St. Marys, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.E. McElvain, and Paul Umscheid, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Umscheid of Flush, were married at the Immaculate Conception church in St. Marys, Tuesday, September 10th, at 7 o'clock a.m.
The bride was beautifully attired in a gown of white satin, and wore a small white hat with a short veil, and carried an arm bouquet of pink roses. She was attended by her sister, Miss Rosemary McElvain, who wore a rose colored silk crepe dress and a picture hat and carried a mixed bouquet.
Harold Umscheid, brother of the groom, was the best man.
Following the ceremony, a breakfast was served at the home of the bride's parents, the guests being the immediate relatives of the bride and groom.
The bride is a graduate of St. Marys high school and St. Francis Hospital nursing school in Topeka. She has been employed at the S.B.A. hospital in Topeka and has also assisted at Genn hospital in Wamego. The groom attended the St. Joseph's high school at Flush and is now manager of the Aero oil station in Wamego.
The left for a honeymoon trip to the Ozarks and upon their return will reside in Wamego in the Clifford Huey residence on Vine Street. -Wamego Reporter
Mrs. Umscheid is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.S. Elvain of this city.

Banns for the marriage of Miss Ethel McElvain of this city and Paul Umscheid of Wamego were published last Sunday in the Immaculate Conception church. The wedding will take place Tuesday morning, September 17th. -St. Marys Star.
Miss McElvain is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred McElvain and a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.S. McElvain of this city.
