McElvain left yesterday for Chalkmound, Kansas, to attend the 40th wedding anniversary of Mrs. Ruhama [sic Ruhana?] Cooper, a sister of Mrs. Swearingen and Mrs. McElvain. The celebration will occur today and the visitors will remain until Sunday. The Coopers will be remembered here having lived here and at Silver Lake for many years.
