Pamela A. Persons and James H. Hays, Rossville, were united in marriage on Saturday, August 20,1994, at the Rossville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dale Lewis officiated, with assistance from the Rev. Ken Rogers.

Attending the couple were the bride’s children, Angela Persons and David Persons. Margaret Walker, Corydon, Ind., sister of the groom, was matron of honor. Best man was Robert Walker, brother-in-law of the groom. Ushers were Jack Hawn, Ozawkie, Tommie L. Smith, Topeka, and David Foster and Doug Queen, Rossville, friends of the groom. Candles were lit by James Marshall, El Dorado, nephew of the bride.

Music for the service was provided by the Rev. and Mrs. Lewis, Danielle Brunin and Angela Persons. Sandra Wichman played the organ. A reception was held at the church immediately following the ceremony, hosted by Michelle Roth and Rhonda Peck, cousins of the bride, and Kristi Marshall, sister-in-law of the bride. The wedding cake was prepared by Ethel Mae Hodge, aunt of the bride. Jessica, Rebecca, and Amy Marshall, El Dorado, nieces of the bride, attended the guest book and gift table.

Mrs. Hays is the daughter of Laurence and Ann Marshall, Emmett. Mr. Hays is the son of Lois F. Hays, Corydon, Ind., and the late Clay Blaine Hays, Jr.

The couple is at home in rural Rossville.
