    Exchange vows June 6
    at Delia's Sacred Heart
June Marie Wehner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wehner, Rossville, is the bride of Mr. Marvin Edward Burgett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert I. Burgett, Delia.

Their marriage was solemnized at 9:30 a.m. June 6 in Sacred Heart Church, Delia, with the Rev. George Seuferling read the double-ring ceremony. The choir and organist of St. Mary’s College provided the music.

The bride wore a gown of peau d’ange lace designed with a slim front panel with side and back fullness that descended into a chapel train. The fitted bodice featured bridal point sleeves and a scooped neckline trimmed with seed pearls and irridescent sequins. Her bouffant vail was held by a crown of seed pearls. She carried a cascade of red roses and white carnations.

Helen Wehner was her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Sheila Burgett, sister of the bridegroom, and flower girl was Denise Bindel. The attendants wore street-length dresses of sky blue satin styled with round necklines, short sleeves and bell¬shaped skirts. Their short circular veils were caught to blue velvet crowns. They carried short cascades of blue and white carnations.

Best man was Tim Brock, Delia. Groomsman was Larry Wehner, brother of the bride, and ushers were Lloyd Tomson and John Wehner.

The reception was at the Delia High School. Assisting were Judy McCollough, Jean Stiles and Carol Adams, Rossville; Mary Burgett, Delia, and Ann Ent.

Following a trip to the Lake of the Ozarks, the couple is at home at 916 Lane, Topeka.

The bride, a graduate of Rossville High School, is employed by the First National Bank of Topeka. Mr. Burgett, a graduate of Delia High School, is employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.
