A nuptial mass on Saturday, November 15, 1980, united Sherrie Lynn Perry and Rodney Catron in marriage. The 2:00 ceremony was held at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville. Fr. Clarence Krajicek heard the exchange of vows in a double ring ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Mrs. Patricia Essman, Kyle, Tex., and Mr. Gerald Perry, Route 8, Topeka. Mr. and Mrs. Benny Catron, Mayetta, are the groom’s parents.

Serving as maid of honor for her sister was Tammy Perry, Emporia. Eva Rake and Kay Nider, Rossville, and Ljsa Stadler, Manhattan, were her bridesmaids.

Best man for the groom was his brother, Keith Catron, Rossville. His groomsmen were Mark Catron, Mayetta, a brother; Gerry Dolezilek and Karl French, Hays.

Darold Catron and Roger Catron, Mayetta, brothers of the groom, and Tate Perry, Route 8, Topeka, brother of the bride, were ushers.

Holly Perry, the bride’s sister, attended the guest book.
Mrs. Bev Martinek, organist, provided wedding music and also accompanied Kathy Olejnik, vocalist.

Dwight Martinek was lector and servers at the Mass were Dustin Martinek and Terry Horak.

Following the ceremony, a reception to honor the couple was held in the church fellowship hall.

The couple took a wedding trip to Colorado, and are now at home in rural Delia.
