    Ann M. Channel and Lyle K. Leppke were married in a Sunday afternoon ceremony May 31, 1987, at Eastmoor United Methodist Church, Marion. The Rev. Steve Rankin officiated.

    Parents of the couple are Dale and Mary Channel, Rossville, and Wilbur and Helen Leppke, Peabody. Ann is the granddaughter of Ruth Ward, St. Marys.

    Attending the bride were Cara Channel, Rossville; Ronda Channel, Silver Lake; and Doris Swope, Stillwater, Okla. Candlelighters were Jesse Fund, Hoyt, and LeAnn Hiebert, Marion.

    The groom’s attendants were Kent Leppke, Wichita; Stuart Leppke, Hillsboro; and Randy Just, El Dorado. Ushers were Tom Gaeddert, Newton; Dan Smith, Wichita; Jim Channel, Silver Lake; and David Channel, Rossville.

    Tracy Juden, Arkansas City, presided at the guest book. Assisting at the reception were Leslie McGinnis and Debbie Willits, Kansas City; Brenda Reimer and Sheree Leppke, Hillsboro; Tamra Just, El Dorado; and Betty Just, Marion.

    Ann teaches physical science and biology at Peabody High School. Lyle is co-owner of Seibel Real Estate and Auction Service. He is also engaged in farming.

    Channel/Leppke Engagement Announced
    Mr. and Mrs. Dale Channel, Rossville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ann, to Lyle Leppke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Leppke, rural Peabody. Ann is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ruth Ward, St. Marys.

    Ann is a graduate of Rossville High School and Southwestern College at Winfield, with degrees in international business and biology education. She is teaching biology and physical science at Peabody High School, coaches volleyball, and assists with junior high track.

    Lyle is a graduate of Peabody High School and Kansas State University, with a degree in animal science. He is co-owner of Seibel Real Estate and Auction Service, Inc. in Hillsboro, where he works as a real estate broker and auctioneer. Lyle is also lead singer with the Gospel Crusaders.

    The couple will be married May 31, 1987, at the Eastmoor United Methodist Church, Marion, Ks.
