Mary Jane Skelley became the bride of Robert E. Etzel in a double-ring ceremony at 9 a.m. Saturday in Most Pure Heart of Mary Church. The Rev. John O'Connor officiated at the service, and music was provided by Katherine Belden and Jerry Belden, soloists, and Dan Belden Jr., organist.

The bride's floor-length gown of rose point Chantilly lace featured a fitted bodice, long tapered sleeves and a Florentine neckline of scallop lace. Scallops of lace also trimmed the full skirt. Her fingertip-length veil fell from a crown of matching lace and seed pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of red happiness roses.

Mrs. Francis G. Schmidt was matron of honor, and Rosann Etzel was bridesmaid. Each wore a street-length dress of orchid organza with a lace insert. Matching crowns trimmed with seed pearls held their short veils. Both attendants carried colonial bouquets of white carnations.

Serving as best man was Julian Ziegler. Groomsman was John Ingenthron, Kenneth Etzel, Don Berberick and Ronald Engroff ushered.
