Young, Liberal, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kay, to Dan Dayton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dayton, Rossville. Miss Young, a graduate of Liberal High School, is a senior in accounting at Kansas State Teachers College of Emporia. She is employed by R.L. Bennett, Emporia. Mr. Dayton was graduated from Rossville High School and is a senior in business management at KSTC. He is employed as a clerk by Didde Glasser, Inc., Emporia. A May wedding is planned Young-Dayton Kay Young, Liberal, carried two roses attached to her bridal bouquet when she walked down the aisle May 31 for her marriage to Daniel Dayton, Rossville. She gave one rose to her mother as she passed. The other rose she gave to Mr. Dayton’s mother after the vows were read. The Rev. W.H. Dellinger officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony in the chapel of the United Methodist Church at Liberal. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Young, Liberal, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dayton, Rossville, are parents of the couple. The bride wore a floor-length, A-line gown of organza over taffeta. The Empire bodice featured a scalloped sabrina neckline and bridal point sleeves. A wide lace panel extended from the waist to the hem and trimmed the chapel-length Watteau train.
