    Pauly-Faerber Couple Married October 3

Saturday afternoon, October 3, 1987, Lori Pauly became the bride of Bill Faerber in a wedding ceremony at the Immaculate Conception Church in St. Marys. Fr. John Erickson and Fr. Tom Hesse, Osage City, cousin of the bride, celebrated the Mass.

Parents of the couple are Ron and Rosemary Pauly, St. Marys; and Ken and Lillian Faerber, Salina. Grandparents of the couple are Catherine Jacobson, Agnes Pauly, Betty Lyle, and Frieda Gates. Mothers of the couple had corsages of alstromeria lilies and orchids.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an ivory taffeta gown with high neckline and fitted leg o’ mutton sleeves. A dropped V-waisted bodice with Chan¬tilly and silk Venice lace was accented with pearls. Her skirt featured lace inserts and a cathedral train. A mantilla headpiece, heavily beaded with pearls, held her cathedral length veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink privae roses, soft pink carnations, alstromeria lilies and baby’s breath.

Shannon Pauly, St. Marys, served her sister as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Patty Faerber, sister of the groom, Topeka; Wende Evans, St. Marys, and Amy Buie, Topeka, friends of the bride. They wore full length daphne rose satin gowns with sweetheart necklines and V-backs, trimmed with gathered bows. Their satin picture hats were trimmed with a soft back bow and sequins. Each carried cascade bouquets of light pink and bright pink carnations, blue bachelor buttons, purpose statice, alstromeria lilies and baby’s breath.

Bob Faerber, Salina, was best man. Groomsmen were friends — Dave Peirano, Boston, Mass.; Doug Stanly and Jeff Handley, Topeka. Ushers were Jacob Lloyd, Rossville, a cousin of the bride; Bill Uhler and Brad Snyder, Topeka, friends of the groom. They wore black tuxedos with tails, and boutonnieres of a single pink rose accented with baby’s breath.

Lucas Pauly, St. Marys, brother of the bride, and Aaron Lambotte, Topeka, cousin of the bride, were altar boys.

Joel Lambotte, Topeka, godchild of the bride, was ring bearer. Lindsay Royer, St. Marys, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Betty Simecka, Topeka, a friend of the bride, served as lector. Musicians were Cherie Eck, Joe Engelken and Jenny Harris, all of St. Marys. The bride’s aunt, Betty Lambotte, Rossville, was lady in waiting. Her godparents, Joe and Delores Floersch, Delia, presented the offertory gifts.

Pat Torrey, St. George, a friend of the bride, sat at the guest book.

Following the wedding, a reception was held in the Centennial Building. Deb Glotzbach, Mary Gayner, Tonia Duncan, Tammy Latta, and Angie Pearl, all friends of the bride, assisted at the reception. The gift table attendants were Dorothy Lloyd and Kay Wild, Rossville, aunts of the bride.

After a brief honeymoon, the couple is at home in Goodland.
