    Janet Sue Kerwin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Kerwin, Delia, and Ralph Eugene Foresman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Foresman, St. Marys, were united in marriage at 2 p.m., June 4, 1977 at the Immaculate Conception Church in St. Marys. The Rev. Alfred Rockers officiated at the double ring Nuptial Mass.

    The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of polyester organza and cluny lace. It featured a sheer bodice trimmed in Brussels type lace and seed pearl trim, with a stand-up neckline trimmed in cluny lace. The front and back bodice and high rise waist were bordered with cluny lace as were the bishop sleeves. Bands of cluny lace trimmed the front of the flared skirt; a two tier flounce encircled the skirt and train, edged in cluny lace which swept into a chapel length train.

    Her veil was a modified camelot headpiece which was also edged with lace. She carried a cascade bouquet of coral Juliet roses, white carnations, daises and baby’s breath encircling a yellow cymbidium orchid.

    Marita Ronnau, St. Marys, was her sister’s matron of honor. The bridesmatrons were her sister, Jean Poppelreiter, Maple Hill, and Mary Jo Hoerman, Manhattan. Cathy Newton, Alma, was a bridesmaid.

    Their dresses were floor length of solid coral color with a nylon, small flowered print overlay. The empire bodices featured scoop, sweetheart necklines with large puffed sleeves. They wore small, white silk flowers in their hair and carried a colonial bouquet of carnations, daisies and baby’s breath with yellow and coral streamers.

    Walter Foresman, Silver Lake, was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Pete Baumchen, St. Marys; Michael Foresman, Silver Lake; and Steve Mees, St. Marys. The guests were seated by Bob Foresman, Silver Lake, Karl Meyer and Matt Verschelden, St. Marys. All the attendants and ushers wore ginger Seville. tuxedos with ginger colored ruffled shirts.

    The bride’s mother wore a floor length gown of pale, mint green knit with silver accessories. She wore a corsage of coral cymbidum orchids. The groom’s mother wore a floor length gown of apricot with white accessories. Her corsage was of yellow cymbidium orchids.

    Michael Kerwin, Delia; brother of the bride, was the lector. Kevin and Patrick Kerwin, Delia, brothers of the bride, were the Mass servers.

    Mrs. Sue Bayer, St. Marys, was the organist. Several guitar selections were sung by Mrs. Beverly Newton and Miss Cathy Mock of Paxico, before and during the ceremony.

    Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Centennial Building. The three-tier wedding cake was served by Mrs. Jane Elliott and Mrs. Beverly Martinek. Kathy Floersch and Mary Zeller served the punch. Assisting at the gift tables were Kathy Schumaker, Terri Shea and Vanessa Tarbutton. Lisa Brennan was in charge of the guest book. A buffet dinner for relatives and friends was served following the reception.

    Mrs. Foresman is a graduate of St. Marys High School and is attending Kansas State University where she will graduate next May with a degree in elementary education. She is presently employed as switchboard operator at Kansas State University.

    Mr. Foresman is a graduate of St. Marys High School and is attending Kansas State University where he will graduate next May with a degree in electrical engineering. He is presently employed in the physical power plant at Kansas State University.

    After a honeymoon trip to the Lake of the Ozarks, the Foresmans are making their home in Manhattan.

Raritan, N.J.; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Applegate, Belvue; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd North, Mr. and Mrs. Charles St. Louis, and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Cain and Clare, all of Topeka; and Brother John Toller, S.J., St. Louis, Mo.
