Marie Ronsse Crawshaw, 49, Topeka, died Saturday, May 23, 1998, at a Topeka hospital. She suffered complications from Crohn’s disease.
She was born December 12, 1948, in Manhattan, to Joseph R. “Joe” and Mary Kathleen Ahearn Ronsse. She spent her early life in St. Marys and was graduated from St. Marys High School in 1967. She was graduated from Kaw Valley Vocational-Technical School in Topeka and was a licensed practical nurse in 1968.
She earned a degree as a registered nurse from Barton County Community College in Great Bend in 1988 and was employed in the coronary care unit at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka and by the Home Health Department.
She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. She was a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital, Home Health Care, and Meals on Wheels.
She was married to Robert Crawshaw. They were divorced.
Survivors include sons, James R. Crawshaw and Christopher J. Crawshaw, both in Topeka; brothers, Mike Ronsse, Gardner, and David Ronsse, St. Marys; sisters, Kate Brehm and Maggi Ronsse, both in Topeka; and two grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys. Rosary was recited Monday at Davidson Funeral Home, Topeka.
