  Documents		Anniversary- Eckert, Dick and Maxine Eckerts celebrate 50th anniversary Dick and Maxine Eckert of Wetmore will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001. A reception will be held in their honor from 2 to 4 p.m. at St. James Catholic Hall, Fifth and Iowa, Wetmore. Hosting the celebration will be their son, Rick and Belinda Eckert of Delphos, their nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A son and daughter are deceased. The couple were married Aug. 25, 1951, in Topeka. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Please no gifts. Col. Eckert retired from the Kansas Army National Guard as Chief of Staff in 1980. He later served as a Representative in the Kansas Legislature for eight years. Mrs. Eckert retired from the First National Bank of Wetmore in 1984.
