    Mrs. Ferne Evelyn Cottle, 82, Topeka, died Sunday, May 26, 1991, at a Topeka hospital.
    Mrs. Cottle was a nurse and had worked at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. She also had been a private duty nurse.
    She was born Noc. 20, 1908 in Topeka, the daughter of Russell and Mona Calderwood Taliaferro. She was graduated from Topeka High School in 1925 and St. Francis School of Nursing in 1928.
    She was married to Goebel Cottle June 30, 1931. He died in 1965.
    Survivors include a daughter, Sue Taylor, Topeka; two sons, Charles Cottle, Topeka, and Ron Cottle, Phoenix, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
    Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Hope Abbey. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
