    Curtis J. Bent
    HARTFORD — Curtis J. Bent, 65. Route 2, Hartford, died Sunday, Feb. 22, at a Kansas City, Mo., hospital.
    Mr. Bent was a retired carpenter.
    He was born June 3, 1921, at Bladen, Neb., the son of Elmer and Hilda Johnson Bent. He lived in the Jacob’s Creek area near Hartford since 1975.
    Mr. Bent was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the United Meth-odist Church at Clearview, Neb., and Linden-Tripkos Memorial Post No 6654 of Veterans of Foreign Wars at DeSoto.
    He was married to Bessie L. Lanning Aug. 4, 1950, at Minden, Neb. She survives.
    Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Cindy Meier, Lawrence; a son, Dennis Bent, Nevada, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Schmidt, Minden, Neb., and Mrs. Edna Wyatt, Delia; two brothers, Gene Bent and Edward Bent, addresses unavailable; and four grand¬children.
    Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Strawn Cemetery northwest of Burlington. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington.
