Banta-Bonjour
The marriage of Miss Helen Louise Banta, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Banta, and Mr. Lester Bonjour, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Bonjour of Onaga, was quietly solemnized September 7, at 2:30 p.m. at Frankfort, Kansas.
The pretty bride, who was unattended, was gowned in white crepe dechine with matching accessories.
She is a graduate of Delia high school. Mr. Bonjour attended Onaga High School.
The young couple have a large circle of friends. The wedding was followed by a reception at the Bonjour home. Mr. and Mrs. Bonjour are at home on a farm near Onaga. |

Helen L. Bonjour, 87, formerly of Topeka, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, in Topeka.
Mrs. Bonjour worked for the Kansas State Employment Service from 1954 until she retired.
She was born Jan. 21, 1916, in Rossville, to Floyd Banta and Mertie Cochren. She moved to Topeka in 1951.
Mrs. Bonjour was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Topeka Chapter No. 462 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She married Lester M. Bonjour. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Marvin Bon-jour, Topeka; a sister, Lola Landis, Topeka; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Mount Hope Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thurs¬day at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mid¬land Hospice House, 200 S.W. Frazier Circle, Topeka, 66606.
