Lucy Macha, 90, Topeka, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at a Lawrence hospital.
Mrs. Macha was a bookkeeper for Petro Surgical Group for 23 years. She later was a bookkeeper part-time for eight years for the La Casa Grande Apartments.
She was born Jan. 7, 1912, in Rossville, the daughter of Guy and Margaret Cottle Berkey.
Mrs. Macha was a member, past worthy matron and district aide for Loyal Chapter No. 176 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Rossville.
She married Ray Vorhies on June 5, 1929.
They were divorced. She married Marvin Macha on Aug. 23,1954. He died May 15, 1976.
Survivors include a daughter, Delores Stevenson, Everett, Mass.; two sons, Kenneth Vorhies, Eudora, and Duane Vorhies, Hemet, Calif.; a sister, Sally Hill, Montrose, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Cremation is planned. Services and inurnment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to Loyal Chapter No. 176 of the Order of the Eastern Star and sent in care of June Blush, 518 Skylab Court, Silver Lake, 66539.
Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
