hardship. He knew no home but the wide extended plains, and slept at night with the starry heavens as his covering. He finally settled on his farm near Rossville where he spent the closing years of his life. A few months before he died he gave his life into his savior's hands and united with the Presbyterian Church. It was the regret of the closing weeks of his life that he had not lived christian all his life. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. H.L. Nelson in the Presbyterian Church, at two o'clock, Dec. 24. He was laid to rest in the Rossville cemetery. His wife and children have the sympathy of their many friends.
