    25th celebration planned
    Mr. and Mrs. Myron Figge, Wamego, will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary Dec. 3, 1983, with a dance from 8 to 12 p.m. at the American Legion, St. George.

    Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Hosting the dance will be their family, Rodney, Roy, Robbie and Rex.

    Myron Figge and Karen Pressgrove were married November 29, 1958, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wheaton.

    Karen Pressgrove and Myron Figge were married Nov. 29, 1958, at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wheaton.

    They are the parents of Rodney and Diane Figge, Peyton, Colo.; Roy Figge, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Robbie and Debbie Figge, Wamego; and Rex and Sherry Figge, Wamego. The couple have four grandchildren.

    Mr. Figge is retired after 39 years of service at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.

    To celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
    Myron and Karen Figge of Topeka will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, Nov. 29. They also will celebrate next spring with a family gathering in Colorado Springs, Colo.

    Myron Figge and Karen Pressgrove were married Nov. 29, 1958, at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wheaton.

    Myron retired in 1998 from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 39 and one-half years of service.

    Their children are Rodney and Diane Figge, Peyton, Colo.; Roy Figge, Colorado Springs; Robbie and Debbie Figge and Rex and Sherry Figge, Wamego. Their eight grandchildren are Copper, Autumn, Austin, Jesse, Wyatt, Anna, Shianne and Colby.

    Obituary- Figge, Myron
    Myron D. Figge, 81, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Via Christi Village in Manhattan.
    He was born May 5, 1936 near Wheaton, the son of Fred William Figge Jr. and Lorna Teske Figge. He was raised in the Wheaton community and graduated from Wheaton High School in 1954. Myron entered the US Army on June 7, 1956 and served his country until October 8, 1962
    Myron worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Topeka for nearly 40 years. He had lived in Topeka, St. Marys and Wamego. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Wamego. He had been a member of NRA and North America Elk Foundation. Myron was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and doing woodworking.
    On November 29, 1958 he was united in marriage to Karen G. Pressgrove at Wheaton. She preceded him in death on November 24, 2012. He was also preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Shirley, Fred (Cookie) Figge and Lyle Figge.
    Survivors include his sons, Rodney (Diane) Figge, Peyton CO., Roy Figge, Colorado Springs, CO., Robbie (Debbie) Figge and Rex (Sherry) Figge all of Wamego; a brother, Dale Figge, Westmoreland; a sister Judy Cutright, Topeka; 8 grandchildren and one great-grand-daughter.
    Myron will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. Friday, May 4, 2018 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Wamego where there will be a prayer service at 6:00 P.M. followed by a lite meal. Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Wamego Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple Street, St. Marys, Kansas 66536.
