    CAROLYN R. BAUMCHEN

    Carolyn R. Baumchen, 61, of Topeka died January 2, 2014 at Rolling Hills Health Center.
    She was born December 8, 1952 in Westmoreland, KS the daughter of Clarence and Rosie Marie (Holder) Prockish.
    Carolyn was a Clerk in Medical Records at St. Francis Hospital.
    She was a member of the American Legion Post Auxiliary.
    She is survived by three sons, Ryan Baumchen and his wife, Kristie of Topeka, Curtis Baumchen and his wife Jaime of Delia, Darrin Baumchen and his fiancée Ashley of Topeka, two sisters Nancy Willcutt and her husband Bill of Wamego, Becky Glotzbach and her husband Steve of Topeka and a brother-in-law, Jerry Briggs. Five grandchildren, Madie, Tyler, Aiden, Jaycie, and Rylan also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Judy Briggs.
    Carolyn laid in state after 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family received friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. The funeral service was 10:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home. A graveside service was held 2:00 P.M. Monday at the St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery in Wamego.
    In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to St. Francis Breast Cancer Care Center or Rolling Hills Health Center sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS, 66603.
