    Mr. and Mrs. Oscar McKenzie will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at the Rossville Community Building, Rossville, Ks.

    Honoring them will be their children, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde McKenzie, Marietta, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Neil McKenzie, Willard, Ks. The couple has six grandchildren.

    McKenzie Couple Wed Sixty Years
    Oscar and Vesta McKenzie will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, November 27,1993, at the Rossville Christian Church, 411 Spruce.

    Hosting the event will be their children, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde McKenzie, Atlanta, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Neil McKenzie, Willard.

    Oscar McKenzie and Vesta Keeton were married November 15,1933, at Sandy Hook, Ky.

    They have six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

    Neil Duane McKenzie

    WILLARD – Neil Duane McKenzie, 80, Willard KS passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021.

    Neil was born January 10, 1941, in Valencia KS to Oscar and Vesta Keeton McKenzie. He graduated from Rossville High School in 1959, attended Emporia State University and graduated from Washburn University in 1963 earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Neil served our country in the US Army. On July 3, 1964, Neil and Nancy Lee Shrimplin were united in marriage enjoying just shy of 57 years together.

    Neil was an industrial engineer for Goodyear Tire. He was a member of Kansas Free Masons, Lake Lodge No. 50, Silver Lake KS.

    Survivors include his wife Nancy; children, Emily McLamb (Hilton), Alan McKenzie (Christi) and Paul McKenzie; six grandchildren, (Jasmine, Monica and Erin McLamb, Jordan, Scott and Nicholas McKenzie); six great-grandchildren, (Mia McLamb, Ivan, Josephine, Caroline, Harper and Beau McKenzie); and brothers, Clyde and Ray McKenzie.

    Graveside service for Mr. McKenzie will be Tuesday, June 29, 10 a.m. at Valencia Cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Lodge or Shriners Hospitals for Children and sent in care of Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614.
