  Obituary- Gordon, James D. James David Gordon, 76, Topeka died Tues., Feb. 28, 2006, at St. Francis Hosp. He was born Oct. 12, 1929 in Pottawatomie County, KS the son of James Huston and Helen M. (Burgess) Gordon. James had served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years. He worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.'s Topeka plant for over 30 years. After retiring he worked as a Realtor in Topeka. He was married to Jane E. Brunkow on Aug. 6, 1955 at Topeka. She preceded him in death on Jan. 23, 2002. He was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald J. Gordon, on Nov. 11, 1979; his parents; a sister, Mary H. Austin, of Wamego; and a brother, Roland L. Gordon of Topeka. Surviving are a sister: Becky Lindbloom of Topeka; 2 brothers: Benjamin D. Gordon of Topeka and Gary N. Gordon of Manhattan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 4, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Interment will be in Rossville Cemetery. He will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Saturday.
