| Obituary- Barrand, Alvin Alvin L. Barrand, 76, Rossville, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1987, at a Topeka convalescent center.
Mr. Barrand was a construction worker and a truck driver before he retired.
He was born Dec. 21, 1910, in Whiting, the son of George and Ethel Bryan Barrand. He lived in Eskridge before he moved to Rossville five years ago.
Mr. Barrand was a member of North Topeka Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Lierz and Mrs. Linda Sampson, both of Topeka; four sons, Eugene A. Barrand, Gary Barrand and Larry Barrand, all of Topeka, and Jack Barrand, Savannah, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. Paralee Norton, Atchison, and Mrs. Louise Gibbs, Topeka; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will to be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Kennekuk Cemetery east of Horton. Davidson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3003 Van Buren, Topeka, 66611.
