    Robert Wayne” and Joan Sebring, Topeka, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary as guests of honor at a reception and dance in March at the Moose Lodge.

    Joan Seitz and Wayne Sebring were married Feb. 27,1954, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. They have lived outside of Topeka during most of their marriage.

    Reception hosts will be their children, Bob and Janet Sebring, Lake St. Louis, Mo.; Glenis Sebring, Ron and Suzie Sebring, Topeka; and Rick and Bev Bradley, Hoyt. The Sebrings have 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

    Mr. Sebring retired from Union Local 101, Operating Engineers, as a crane operator.

    Mrs. Sebring retired from Jostens Printing and Publishing as a payroll clerk.

    Robert (Wayne) Sebring
    ROSSVILLE- Robert (Wayne) Sebring, Rossville, passed away March 22,2008 at a Topeka, hospital.

    He was born March 14, 1934 at Marrowville, (Washington County) Kansas, the son of John G. and Della M. Terpening Sebring. He attended grade school at Praireville, Twin Rows and Rossville grade schools. He also attended Rossville High School.

    He worked for Santa Fe Railway, Frisbie Bridge Construction, Noble Construction, and CC&M Construction as a superintendent, and WGM Construction. He retired as a crane operator with Operating Engineers Local 101 in Topeka.

    Wayne was a member of Operating Engineers Local 101, the Moose Club and the Jimmie Lillard Sons of the Legion Post No. 31 at Rossville.

    He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Delbert Lloyd Sebring.

    Wayne married Joan Seitz on February 27, 1954 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. She survives of the home.

    Other survivors include two sons, Robert W. Jr. and wife Janet, Lake St. Louis, MO. and Ronald and wife Suzie of Topeka; two daughters, Bev Bradley and husband Rich of Hoyt, and Glenis Sebring, Rossville; two brothers, Harold Sebring, Prescott, AZ. and Glen Eldon Sebring, Sun City, AZ. one sister Letha Marney, Scottsdale, AZ; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, with one due any day, and many nieces and nephews.

    Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys. Mr. Sebring will lie in state after 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 25, at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association or St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and sent in care of the funeral home.
