| Obituary- Wilson, Leonard Leonard Wilson
Leonard J. Wilson, 90, Topeka, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002, at a Topeka care center.
Mr. Wilson farmed in the Auburn area from 1947 to 2000. He also was a custom harvester during 1945 and 1946 and was a self-employed truck driver. He also had worked for Capitol City Concrete.
He was born July 7,1912, at Topeka, the son of James A. and Bertha Mae Cartmill Wilson. He had lived in Topeka his entire life.
Mr. Wilson was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church.
He married Blanche Coon in 1937 in Topeka. They were divorced. He married Violet Neeley in 1945 in Topeka. They were divorced. He married Freeda Marie James on Dec. 2,1964, in Topeka. She survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Jim Wilson, Lebanon, Mo., and Dick Wilson, Topeka; two daughters, Midge Stalnaker, El Paso, Texas, and Marilyn Holloway, Topeka; a stepson, Jim Vega, Topeka; two stepdaughters, Kathy Jackson, Topeka, and Amy Wadi, Cincinnati; a brother, Ralph Wilson, Topeka; a sister, Rosie Read, Topeka; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Southern Baptist Church, Topeka. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Wilson will lie in state from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home, where visitation will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association, sent in care of Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N. Kansas Ave., Topeka, 66608.
