| Obituary- Wilson, Freeda Freeda Marie James Wilson
Freeda Marie James Wilson, 77, Topeka, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at a Topeka hospital. She was i born Dec. 3, 1925, in Topeka, the daughter of George and Louise Witchcraft James. She was a graduate of Seaman High School, and a member of the First Southern Baptist Church. She lived in Topeka all her life.
She married Domenic “Don" Vega on April 17, 1944, in Topeka. She married Leonard Wilson on Dec. 2, i1964. in Topeka. They both preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Jackson, Topeka, and Amy Cicci-Wadl, Cincinnati: a son, Jim Vega. Topeka; two stepdaughters, Midge Staimaker, El Paso, Texas, and Marilyn Holloway, Topeka; two stepsons, Jim Wilson, Lebanon, Mo., and Dick Wilson, Topeka; two sisters, Midge Lewis and La Ferry Greene, both of Topeka; a brother, George James, Augusta; eight grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 12 stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the First Southern Baptist Church in Topeka. Mrs. Wilson will lie in state from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Interment will be at West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Contributions to the American Heart Association may be sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.
