ROSSVILLE - Edward C. Kovar, 73, Rossville, died Monday afternoon at his home after suffering a heart attack.
He was born July 19, 1902, at Rossville and had lived here all his life. He was a retired farmer.
He was a member of the Rossville Presbyterian Church, the Hesperian Lodge No. 111, AF&AM, and the Moravian Lodge ZCBJ No. 128, both at Rossville.
He was married to Edna M. Lee on Oct. 27, 1923, In Topeka. She survives at the home.
Other survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Mae DeVader, Emmett, Mrs. Jean Huntsman, 1900 N. Fillmore, Topeka, Mrs. Virginia Crupper, Rossville, and Mrs. Ruth Bunzel, 730 Ridgeview, Topeka; a son, Ray Kovar, St. Marys; a sister, Mrs. Viola Gideon, Paxico; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Rossville Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Rossville Cemetery.
Parker Mortuary in Topeka is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may made to the Kansas Heart Association or the Rossville Presbyterian Church.

Edward C. Kovar, 73, Rossville, died suddenly at his home Monday, March 8, 1976 of an apparent heart attack.
He was born July 19, 1902 in Rossville. He was a retired farmer.
On October 27, 1923, he was married to Edna M. Lee in Topeka. She survives.
Mr. Kovar was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Rossville, the Hesperian Lodge #111 AF&AM in Rossville, and Moravian Lodge #128 ZCBJ.
In addition to his widow, Mr. Kovar is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mae DeVader, Emmett, Mrs. Jean Huntsman, Topeka, Mrs. Virginia Krupper, Rossville, and Mrs. Ruth Bunzel, Topeka; one son, Ray Kovar, St. Marys; one sister, Mrs. Viola Gideon, Paxico; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Rossville Presbyterian Church. Interment, under the direction of Parker Mortuary in Topeka, will be in the Rossville Cemetery.
