Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Davidson Funeral Home for Mrs. Margaret A. Ballard, 59, Topeka. She died Thursday, July 20, 1989, in a Topeka hospital.
Mrs. Ballard was employed by the state Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services.
She was born May 4, 1930, in Delia, the daughter of Homer and Mary O’Connor Redmon. She lived in the Delia and Emmett communities until she moved to Topeka about 20 years ago.
Mrs. Ballard was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.
She was married to William D. Ballard on Aug. 14, 1970, in Topeka. He survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Waunita McGranahan Stephenson, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; three sons, Richard McGranahan, in California, Kenneth McGranahan, Topeka, and Robert McGranahan, rural Harveyville; her stepmother, Mary Redmon, Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Mary Ann Bryant and Monica Olson, both of Topeka, and Anna Lou Lahey, Anderson, Calif.; nine brothers, Edward Redmon and Lloyd Redmon, both of Topeka, Don Redmon, Emmett, Gene Redmon, Lee Redmon and John Redmon, all of Kansas City, Mo., Bill Redmon, Valley Falls, Carl Redmon, Wichita, and Theron Redmon, Chicago; and four grandchildren.
Burial will be in Delia Cemetery. Mrs. Ballard will lie in state at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas Heart Association, 5375 W. 7th, 66606.
