Mary Redmon
NORTONVILLE — Mary L. Redmon, 93, Nortonville, formerly of lire Holton and Mayetta communities, died Wednesday, April 17,2002, at a Nortonville care facility.
Mrs. Redmon was a homemaker.
She was born Dec. 7,1908, in Huron, S.D., the daughter of Charley and Anna Parks Carmichael. She had lived in Kansas City, Mo., for 25 year
s, moving from Jackson County after 35 years there.
She married Homer Redmon in 1933 in Kansas City, Mo. He died Oct. 5,1966. She also was preceded in death by three sons, Cad Redmon, John Redmon and Lee Redmon, and a stepdaughter, Margaret Ballard.
Survivors include six sons, Theron Redmon, Chicago, Gene Redmon, Kansas City, Mo., Billy Redmon, Valley'Falls, Edward Redmon and Lloyd Redmon, both of Topeka, and Don Redmon, Rossville; three daughters, Anna Lou Lahey, Anderson, Calif., Mary Ann Bryant and Monica Olson, both of Topeka; a sister, Chloe Driskell, Peoria, III.; and many grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mercer Funeral Home, Holton. Burial will be in Delia Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
