    Howard Leroy (Roy) Bellman
    Howard Leroy (Roy) Bellman, 83, 947 Forest, died Saturday at a Topeka hos¬pital.
    He was born March 9, 1896, in St. Marys, son of Edgar C. and Elmira Bellman. A lifelong Kansas resident, he farmed in the Silver Lake and Delia communities for many years before moving Topeka. In Topeka he worked as a carpenter and a custodian at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital before retiring in 1960.
    He married Mattie Pendleton in 1925. She died in 1926. He married Nellie Cochran Luthye in 1931. She survives.
    He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and was a veteran of World War I.
    Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Roberta Henderson, 525 Grattan; three stepsons, Dale Luthye, 909 N. Michigan, Wilbur Luthye, Westminis¬ter, Colo., and Donald Luthye, Liberty, Mo.; six brothers, William Bellman, Lyons, Delbert Bellman, Pasadena, Calif., Noel Bellman, Greeneville, S.C., Austin Bellman, Tustin, Calif., and Carl Bellman and Robert Bellman, both of Topeka; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Delleree, Millington, Mich., and Mrs. Florence Marie Hendrix, Elwood; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
    Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parker-Price Chapel. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Parker-Price Chapel. Memorial con-tributions may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church.
