Pearl, who live five miles southwest of Rossville, with a family dinner at noon and a reception from 2 to 5 o’clock Sunday afternoon, Jan. 26. The Pearls were married and moved to their present home Jan. 26 1886. Mr. Pearl has been a Kansan for sixty-four years. Mrs. Pearl for fifty-four years. He was born in Columbus, Warren county, Pa., December 4, 1858, and came to Kansas in February of the year of 1872 Mrs. Pearl was born in Sterling. Whiteside county, Ill., January 2 1861, and came to Kansas in February, 1882. The relatives present for the occasion, were five of their six children and their families Mr. and Mrs. John Pearl and family; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pearl and family; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Pearl and Family; Mr. and Mrs. George Thomas, of Kansas City, Miss Rose Pearl, Miss Katherine Halloran, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Ronsse, Mr. and Mrs. A.   Documents		Marriage- Farrell, Anna-Pearl, James 1 Farrell-Pearl Member of Star Force Weds Prominent Young man. Monday morning at 8:15 a very pretty wedding was solemnized at the Immaculate Conception Church by Reverend Father McNeive, when Miss Anna Farrell and James Pearl were united in lawful matrimony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Farrell of this city, and is a very popular and charming young lady. She is a graduate of the Immaculate Conception high school here, and attended Spaulding's Business College for some time in Kansas City. She worked in the Star office for several years in this city thus proving very satisfactory, and gaining a host of friends. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Pearl living south east of town. He attended the St. Mary's College here and afterwards completed a business course at Strickler's Business College in Topeka. He is now employed in a clothing store here. The bride was attended by Miss Anna Eichman of this city; and the groom by his brother, John Pearl. The bride was attired in a beautiful dark purple broadcloth suit trimmed in fur, and a purple velvet hat trimmed in fur to match. She carried a bouquet of violets. The bridesmaid was dressed in a blue serge suit hat trimmed in white fur; her bouquet was a bunch of violets. The young couple left Monday afternoon for Kahoka, Mo., to visit friends of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Calvert. They will be gone about two weeks. A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Farrell, to the immediate relatives. There were about thirty-five relatives present at the wedding. The out of town guests were: Miss Veronica, John and Joe Sage of Topeka, Kan., Mr. and Mrs. John Glynn, of Emmett. The young couple have gained for themselves a host of friends here who are glad to learn of their marriage and wish them an ocean of joy and prosperity. They will be at home on Mission Street in the D.E. Painter property after October 1st. The groom, Mr. Pearl is one of the most promising young business men in our city, courteous...   		Marriage- Farrell, Anna-Pearl, James 2 The groom, Mr. Pearl, is one of the most promising young business men in our city, courteous and well balanced. For the bride, this community feels an especial mark of respect. As local editor of the Star for a number of years she had displayed unusual tact and business ability. Frequently much of the writer's time has been taken up with the management of city affairs, and yet withal, our absolute confidence in her ability to take care of every situation which arose during these times has never been misplaced once. She has possessed tact and judgment far beyond her years, and her ability to readily grasp and understand the larger problems of business stands well above the average. Contrary to the rule, the possession of these marks of business ability did not deteriorate, in the least, her inherent qualities of womanly refinement - a broad cultural sympathy which baffled the trying tests of newspaper life, tests which often toughen the most tender sympathies, and rob editors of their faith in the good-will existing in people with whom they come in contact. We regret her loss to the Star, and congratulate Mr. Pearl on a union with a high type of American Catholic womanhood.
