 | Obituary- Binney, Lawrence LAWRENCE BINNEY
Lawrence R. Binney, 71, 906 N. Madison in Topeka, died of a heart attack early Saturday. Born April 27, 1891 in Davis County, Mo., he moved to Rossville with his family when he was eight years old. He had lived in Topeka since he graduated from high school.
Mr. Binney formerly operated the Capitol Auto Wrecking Co., in North Topeka. He was a member of Orient Lodge No. 51, AF&AM, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Topeka Commandery No. 5, KT, and the Topeka Consistory of the Arab Temple.
He is survived by his widow, Irene; three sons, Clarence of Topeka, Fred and Franklin, both of Mobile, Ala.; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Fannin, Topeka; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Rupin, Rossville, ten grandchildren.
He is also survived by three step-children, Mrs. Garnett Alfrey and Mrs. Betty Browning, both of Topeka, and Robert Downs of the armed forces in Madrid, Spain, and 16 step-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Parker Mortuary with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
