  Obituary- Bixby, Cynthia Cynthia Bixby LEAVENWORTH- Cynthia Ellen Bixby, 53, of Leavenworth, died Monday, November 19, 2007 at her home in Leavenworth. She was born on August 17, 1954 in Topeka, KS to Robert M. and Carol (Rankin) Bixby. Cindy was a graduate of St. Mary College, Leavenworth. She was director of Project Stay at the time of her retirement. She is survived by her companion John Holtgrefe, of the home; a brother, Dennis Bixby (Denise) of Tonganoxie; a sister, Brenda Kelly (Richard) of Topeka; a niece, Paula Kelly Frey (Darrin); a nephew, Scott Kelly; and a great niece, Alyssa Frey. She also leaves behind her cherished dogs; Lucy, Nicky, and Roscoe. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Amanda Bixby. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church; 1401 2nd Ave, Leavenworth. No visitation is planned. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Diabetes Association; or to a scholarship fund in Cindys name may be sent in care of the funeral home.
