    Harry Reamer Dies After Long Illness
    Harry L. Reamer, 67, a prominent truck gardner operator south of Silver Lake, died Monday in a Topeka hospital after a long illness. He had cancer.

    Mr. Reamer was born Oct. 6, 1899, one-half mile from his present home, southeast of Silver Lake. He attended Silver Lake High School and Washburn University.

    Mr. Reamer was a member of the Silver Lake Methodist Church. A World War I veteran, he was a member of the American Legion.

    He had farmed and operated the truck garden the past 47 years. The Reamer fruit and vegetable stand is located on the farm.

    Mr. Reamer was preceeded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Alice Carolyn Bradley. She died this February.

    Survivors are his wife, one son, four daughters, three brothers, three sisters, an adopted grandson, and 14 grandchildren.

    Services were at 10 a.m. Thursday in Silver Lake Methodist church with burial in Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Silver Lake Methodist Church. Davidson - Eslinger - Duff Funeral Home is in charge of services.
